I used sites like this when we decided on buying our 2017 kia sorento. They all said it was a great car. After we bought it, I immediately noticed it burning oil. Looked into it, and there are entire Facebook pages dedicated to engine failure in these vehicles. I immediately got nervous. 4 months later the engine failed. I thought "thats ok, there's a class action lawsuit that says you get a replacement engine". Wrong. The lawsuit on these engines only covers rod bearings. If your engine fails for any of the other shortcomings this engine has, your out of luck. Mine failed due to oil consumption trashing the head, and causing contact with the pistons. When I pulled the intake manifold, it was horrible. For 79k miles, the engine looked like it had 300k + miles. Covered in carbon. Unless you want tear down an engine a few months after purchase, I'd advise everyone avoid kia and hyundai like the plague. They may be cheap for an suv, but they are expensive for a lawn ornament, and thats exactly what you'll end up with.

Engineered to simplify. From changing head lamp in less than five minutes to changing oil filter without having to drop engine shield pan. Very well thought out interior design. Plenty of visibilty and room. I will buy another.

We have a 2017 Kia Sorento that had 64000miles on it and we bought it and owned it for 9 months 4 days, one night I got home backed it into my driveway like I always do, the next morning it would not start. No click noise complete silence.
