Kia2013 Sorento
This model with the smaller 4 cy engine is SERIOUSLY UNDERPOWERED. I took my first long trip with it last weekend and it got scary a couple of times. When I needed get up and go it wasn't there. Get the larger 4 cy or a .6 Also it doesn't take the bumps very well..very rough ride on moderately bumpy roads. I'm already thinking of getting rid of it and I don't have 3000 miles on it yet.
Never Again
I hate this car. Plain and simple. My previous Rav 4 had this beat by a mile. Radio failed and replaced before 35000 miles. Slider panels covering full length moon roof rattle open with normal driving vibrations, leaving my grandson baking in the sun in the back seat or the sun baking the leather seats. These panels are automated in the Rav 4. For $38000....they should be automated in the Kia Sorento. Air conditioner has a high pitched squeak to it when run on high. Worst of all are the headlights...can't see at night when on normal beams, even with fog lights on. When I ride with high beams on, no one even flashes their lights at me. Mileage ok, poor pickup for a V6 compared to Rav

Crap
Motor had to be replaced at 20,000 MI had to go to corporate office to get information regarding a recall that the dealer never told me about. Driver seat leather completely cracked dry and falling apart side plastic molding on seat has to be replaced twice have gone through two sets of brakes and 120,000 miles have had five alignments done and it's still is not right. Radiohead unit completely unoperable no power fuses fine this car I would never recommend and I hope somebody steals it out of my driveway

The # 1 safest suv in my opinion
I have a 2013 Kia Sorento lx v 6 with the premium package. I am the 2nd owner and now have 100423 miles on it it is a 7 passenger and I have had no trouble other than its hard to keep the hands free phone connected otherwise I have no money invested.when the time comes I will replace it with another sorento.

It started out great, but........
Its a really nice car on the outside, and it ran really well, but not the even a year after buying the car, the interior starting becoming extremely prone to getting dirty very quick and not so easy to clean up....couple years pass and the radio/cd player, Bluetooth all just stop working one day and I've gone the last couple years without the pleasure of even having a radio, my back up cam glitches and sometimes just freezes for hours.....i could be 200 miles from home and my camera shows me still backing out of my yard....(Really weird)...and theres this crazy irritating vibration sound (feel like its gonna blow an eardrum) the windows make on the 2nd row when only 2 windows are down, so i have to wind down all 4 Windows EVENLY to avoid hearing/feeling that awkward vibrating noise. After 5 years, my motor and a few other mechanical issues starting going out on the car, as just as I was trying to figure out WHY!!!, there was a recall it and it eventually got repaired for FREE! So no out of pocket costs other than being stranded for almost a month....and having to pay other people to get my kids to their doctors visits, school, go grocery shopping, etc. IF i had to do this again, id choose better interior options and it would NOT be a KIA SORENTO!
