Nice car but
The exterior looks more high end than it is. If you’re tall or to put it mildly heavyset the car is not easy to get in and out of. The major complaints are few. The transmission feels confused and sometimes holds a gear a little too long. The road noise is too much at times. The Bluetooth is not always on point where it forgets devices the gas mileage is great on 2 lane roads getting as high as 50 mpg. The car has a cavernous trunk for a smaller car the cost to service the car is easy the dealership is supportive and friendly. There isn’t much to complain about. The reliability is amazing, the car is fantastic in snow. It is value packed for the money yet there are better cars to be had none immediately come to my mind.

Growing Appreciation with every mile
Kia engineers deserve kudos for achieving superb balance of power, performance, economy, low and easy maintenance and reliability. I have the hatchback turbo model. I've had this a little over a year and have 25,500 miles and it continues to drive like the day I bought it. I also tend to drive fast and love that it looks very common, that is not drawing attention and thus avoiding violation citations. I love that I can overtake cars costing 3 times more. This model is the 7 speed auto with paddle shifters. It is quiet and responsive in the manual mode. This is "sport tuned" which has a firm suspension. My last car was an infinity g35 which was also sport tuned but less jolting on bumps and road imperfections. I just changed the tires to Continental Pure Contact and what an improvement in comfort, road feel and control. I also love getting more than double mpg over the g35 and comparable real road performance. You can find faster cars and cars that deliver more mpg but you'll be hard pressed to find a car that achieves this wonderful point of balance.

Kia is not my Forte!
Bought the vehicle brand new. Within three days, I heard a rattle in the engine upon acceleration and horrible wind noise around driver side window. I returned to the dealership and was told this is normal..."The noise is because of the outside mirror design." Now the transmission is slipping out of gear...automatic...and is hesitating. When the air conditioner is on I hear a "whistling/whining" noise. Turn it off, it goes away. I have driven this vehicle 27,000 miles and it seems to be falling apart. Would never recommend a Forte to anyone. The trunk lid wouldn't latch on 09/05/20. Upon researching, I found this is a very common problem. You have to push down on it while someone else pulls up on the inside lever. Yet another failure! The whole car is trash.

Had problems
The paint on the roof was patch and faded. They offered to fix it, I had to rock the boat to get a rental. There was a lot of attitude with the managers but they agreed. The hose was loose causing the car to overheat. This car caused me inconvenience. I bought it brand new and all this occurred about 4 months. I had to lose hours at work and spend time driving it out of town to get fixed

26000 miles and already issues
I'm barely over 26000 miles, have done all service at correct intervals since owning and already have check engine light for cylinder misfires. Pathetic when you can't rely on a car with relatively low mileage.
