Used 2010 Kia Forte EX 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Buy a donkey not KIA
I have had this KIA for a year and 1/2. Been in shop more than a dozen times but still have problems with it. Even worst, in the last 1 1/2 year it lost more than $15,000 in value. Payed $19,000 for it in May 2011, it is now August 2012 and the trade in value is at $4,000. The exterior and interior are in great shape. DO NOT BUY KIA you will loose big time. You and american economy.
Great car for an even greater price!
I have had this car for 7 months now and I am thoroughly impressed. I am coming from a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta so the fact that I never have to take my Kia Forte into the dealership for a check engine light every month is a very nice perk. My Forte hasn't had any problems yet. I've had the oil changed once (I love that it only needs to be changed every 7,500 miles) and I will be getting a second oil change soon enough. The inside of my Forte is really classy. I love the materials used for the interior. I especially love the type of paint they use for the interior trim. It doesn't chip and peel. Then again, I make sure I never use any kind of harmful cleaner on it.

Great for the price
This little car is quick, comfortable, and good looking. 6700 miles so far and no issues what so ever. We avg 29mpg with city/hwy mixed. Haven't gone on the "long drive" yet but I'm guessing it will be fine. Like it so much we went and bought a 2011 Rio SX so it wouldn't be lonely :)
Kia Forte - Seats
I purchased this car back in August. Its a nice car it has over 3000 miles I bought the ex with fuel economy pkg I do mostly city driving I was getting 30 mpg which added up to 400 out of tank now i'm getting 360 per tank whats up with that? Second the drivers seat is killing me I can feel the steal construction of the seat with the air bag in the way. Kia won't do anything about it beware if your a tall & mature man stay away from this car!!!! The engine lag is some thing I still can't get use to? All other options for the money are great. I just wish it was more comfortable. I only drive to work and that's it The steering is not tight it pulls or leans to the right.
Good first car
Got a 2010 Kia Forte used in 2017 with 80,000 miles, kept it until about 110,000 miles. Overall pretty good, surprisingly powerful for an economic car. I’d recommend trying to find a 5 speed, as the 4 speed means the power isn’t always accessible. Decently comfortable, but a lot of plastic. Engine had a strange idle noise around 1,000 rpm, but otherwise had no mechanical issues. Technology was not great, cruise control, power windows, and a tire pressure sensor died while I owned it, though the cost of all the parts combined was about $40. Overall it is not a perfect car but you could do a lot worse at this price. Other than safety issues (I wouldn’t trust it in a highway accident), the car has been great and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Kia in the future.
