2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid Consumer Reviews

NEARLY an SUV-Minivan Hybrid
I've been searching and researching for months. Test driven the Pacifica plug-in, Sienna hybrid & the ole Odyssey--all 2025 models. But the Carnival was an absolute lock after weeks of test drives -It just looks better. If they raise the sliding door track up like on the Odyssey, this will be the best SUV/minivan hybrid look. -Fuel efficiency right between Sienna & Pacifica P/HEVs -Base features included are much much better than ALL other makers -Interior looks better and has well-placed air vents unlike the side door vents in back of the Odyssey -SO spacious. I don't know if it is definitively, but it feels like the most spacious make. -Excellent seating manipulation--stow away 3rd & removable, front/back sliding 2nd row. -Cab Noise was 2nd quietest only to Honda Odyssey--just my opinion. -Somehow it's the same price if not CHEAPER than every other option! Cons: -Seats are not nearly as comfortable as they could be. Odyssey was best to me here, but Sienna was very close. -We don't know it's durability, reliability or how it'll compare to Toyota & Honda long term. Safe bet it's not horrible like the Pacifica. -Giddy up is not as strong as the V6's, but it's honestly way better than I expected. -No kick sensor for sliding doors, but the Kia app does have hands free for the trunk. -Can't laterally slide the 2nd row chairs together after taking out the middle seat. That's a very useful feature in the Odyssey.

Best luxury family vehicle
We purchased 2025 Kia carnival SX prestige hybrid with lounge seats. Drove long distance yesterday. The price paid was paid off in the first trip. What a luxury , safety and comfort feeling while riding this vehicle. Would recommend to everyone. We purchased from Cartown KIA Lexington. Kentucky .

OK - LOTS of Problems
We like this van compared to our old Honda Odyssey and less expensive than a new Toyota Sienna, but it is FULL of problems. All of the cruise control, lane assist, etc. goes out every time there is any snow or a heavy rain (front camera is in a bad location). Kia Connect to turn it on / off and unlock the doors went out within a month of buying and though they say the fix is easy the earliest time I can schedule a repair at the dealer is months away. I finally got ahold of somebody to talk about the Connect issue and realize they entered my email into their system wrong (only used half of my last name) and I've missed multiple recall / service notifications. We've only owned it for 4 months, but LOTS of technical issues in such a short time and very little help from KIA.
Carnival is not a circus vehicle
Recently had our first grandson and quickly found out if we wanted to have room and go places together with the family that we needed a larger vehicle; insert Carnival. We didn’t want a traditional minivan and didn’t want a large SUV like a Yukon or Tahoe that sucks fuel and is hard to navigate so we went to test drive a Carnival EX. We were super surprised with the styling and fresh look of the interior for a non Honda/Toyota van. The ride was pretty compliant but it can get angry over some rougher roads. The features that you get in the EX at the price point is simply unbeatable and low 30s for MPG is amazing for an 8 seat vehicle. Granted we’ve only had it for a week but we are averaging 32 mpg. The room for all seating is great and the rear storage is very large and actually have more capacity than the larger SUVs. After a second longer test drive we were sold and purchased it so now we will see how mileage and reliability will hold up. I’m a Japanese car guy myself so this is a stretch for me to take a chance on a Korean vehicle because I value reliability. We love it so far and will follow up with updates

it is ok only for local trips.
AC and Radio controls share the same screen and buttons you need to switch every time you want to use it. This is really bad design. Engine is not powerful despite you get little better mileage compared to gas one. Also, seats are not comfortable at all for long trips. Space is good but I would recommend you checking other 3 row SUVs to make sure you will really like this car or not.

Love the technology and body style!
Still a rare car around here and people ask is it a minivan or suv?
