STAY AWAY FROM JEEPS!
Oh, where to start! I've had this POS for 4 months and have had it to the dealership 6 times! Brake rotors warp, Steering column clicks, sunroof when opened makes a rattling sound, the Jeep pulls to the right, big time! The dealer tells me this is normal and that it's the "crown on the road", WHATEVER! This vehical is the WORST vehical I've ever owned. Not only will I never buy a Jeep, I'll never buy a Chrysler after being dicked around by the dealership so much, they were very painful to deal with!
Good Vehicle
Purchased with 40k miles in 06, currently has about 130k. I have had my fair share of repairs but overall it has been a reliable car for our family. If you have some knowledge of repairs and how to do some repairs you can save a lot of money, if not then you will pay a lot in repairs. I change brake pads twice a year no matter how they look, I change oil every 5k, i clean the injectors about 3 times a year, change plugs every year, 1 new coil pack, 1 water pump, 1 fuel pump, 1 radiator fan relay, 1 starter, 1 serpentine belt, 3 sets of tires, new front differential, 1 left axle, that's all I can think of over the past 4 years, overall a pretty good car.

Brakes, Drivetrain and Electrical Woes
I have had many makes of automobiles Japanese, German and American but this is the most problematic of them all. I purchased a Limited 4X4 with all the goodies, V8, Quadratrac etc,etc... The brakes have been among the worst I have ever owned needing replacement before 15K miles. The transmission has a mind of it's own, clunking off downshifts at slow speed and upshifting harshly when cold. The electrical system has been a nightmare randomly flashing the headlights when the vehicle is unattended. I should have done my homework before I purchased this vehicle. Shame on me!
Transmission Troubles
The transmission is terrible. It has been at the dealers numerous times because it hestitates and slams into gear. Everytime the dealer "fixes it", the problem worsens, to the point of slamming into gear 2x between 15-20 mph producing a bucking effect. The ackward shifting is more dominant when the car is warmed up & between 15-30 mph. It also has much difficulty switching from Park to Reverse. Although the ride (suspension) is very comfortable, it is offset when you are bumping into different gears. Since the transmission is a costly repair that the dealer's "speciality" mechanics can't handle I wouldn't recommend this vehicle.
