Radiators, radiators and more radiators
I bought my jeep at 78K and now has 112K. Its a I6 4.0L. It is really comfy, and quiet, but eats up tires. I've put 3 radiators in it, and a new fan, fan motor, and relay. It never left me on the side of the road, but it almost always has something wrong with it. Drivers side window regulator broke twice. Gets me to where I need to go and never have to worry about getting to the slopes. Just make sure you have money to keep it going.
Jeep Laredo 4x4
This Grand Cherokee may be 6 years old, but it's still gorgeous and aging very well. My only gripe on the Laredo model would be the rear plastic bumper. It's hollow and someone recently rear ended the small right "bump" inwards. I was surprised that this being a Jeep, you would think the bumper would be more substantial.

more fun for a great SUV
This is my 3rd Grand Cherokee, all of them performed great. I'd only add a more sportive transfer case (sequential) as an optional.
disappointed
Well, I bought a 2000 jeep used in August 02 and my story is no different from the others I've read. First the transmission began to slip, luckly the dealership replaced a sensor and it has been okay since. Then I noticed the roaring in the rear which Jeep said there was nothing wrong with the car. It pulled to the right and a special part had to be order to align the vehicle. Brakes!! Yeah, I'm beginning to understand what that's all about. I've had the car four months, replaced the brakes once and can you guess? They are shaking again. From the other reviews I don't think there is any hope.
Best SUV for the Money
I have just bought my 5th Jeep and believe I will always own one. I love these cars, since I have always felt safe in them. I am a frequent renter of vehicles and of all, Jeep makes me feel like it has the highest rate of reliability and is the safest. I think that there is not likely a more comfortable nor safer SUV on the road.
