Used 2005 INFINITI G35 Consumer Reviews
One year owning the Infiniti G35 Cpe
I love everything about my car but one thing. I gave it a score of "4" on Build Quality only because the car is too low. This is not my first sports car so I know they come low to the ground but on the Coupe you can actually go over a simple can or small rock in the road and it will scrape the undercarriage and make it sound likes its tearing it up. You also have to be extremely careful of potholes too..and I mean small ones.
Awesome car!
I bought this car last year on 6/23/07. It needed a new tranny and a 3rd clutch @ 50K because of the previous owner not knowing how to drive it. I love everything about this car as far as performance, but the amber yellow lighting inside reminds of a TC. I test drove a BMW 330CI before my G purchase & it was a joke. I get about 18-20mpg city & 24-28 highway, which is pretty good considering I have 20" wheels, a heavy foot & 3" exhaust. the interior rattles a lot & no luck w/ the dealer. I have 61K fun miles on this car & plan to drive it to the ground then rebuilt the motoer w/ a turbo.

My silver bullet
From the moment I took delivery of the G35x, I've been quite a happy camper. There are a slew of conveniences that the car brings, such as keyless entry, memory seat settings, MP3 playback, reclining rear seats, and so much more. I am especially looking forward to its AWD capabilities once the Vermont winter creeps in. There is a great feeling when I drive through busy street intersections, and people stop what they're doing to take notice of this fine car. You get so much car for your money.
Best value for the dollar
You can't find more bang and amenities for the buck. Considered BMW, 350Z, Audi TT, IS300, and others, but could not get the performance or features for anything close to the G. Best car and most fun to drive of any I've owned.
Oh, I love this car.
So I'd had three Accords in a row ('99, '01, '03), and wanted something sportier this time. I test-drove the BMW 330i and this, and found them pretty comparable, except for a) the price, and b) the AWD capabilities on the G35x, which are more sophisticated than those on the (not yet released) 330xi. I've put 300 miles on this car in the last five days, and I absolutely love it. It handles like a dream, it has power to spare, it's full of great luxury touches, and is just generally a superb car. I'm actually thinking I might keep this one longer than two years. And thanks to the AWD, it should manage to handle better than the Accord in the winter, too.
