Close, but Hyundai could do better
Bought the the limited with all the options. 1.6 turbo was a disappointment. Had a 2013 Sonata with 2l turbo. Loved that car and could get 34 mpg on the highway. Tucson did 23 mpg, (well below the rated highway mileage) in a trip from Minneapolis to Phoenix. Acceleration is okay, but 2 L turbo should be available. Heard that Hyundai won't even offer the 1.6 turbo anymore. Underpowered engines do not improve fuel economy.

Nice car!!
This is a very nice automobile, spacious comfortable and powerful enough for the daily commute. The car is packed with technology and comfort features such as heated seats and touch screen technology. I love Hyundai products. This is our third purchase currently totaling two Tuscans and an Elantra as family cars. Hyundai is very committed to fulfilling the promises of their warranty which will make me a customer of theirs for life.

2018 Tucson Limited AWD Ultimate Package
Purchased the Tucson in December for my wife replacing a 2014 Honda CRV EX which we almost purchased again but found out about the Dream engine water in oil issue. That's when we decided to look at Hyundai. Our Tucson is right sized and loaded which gives us many more options than the Honda had and we paid almost the same 5 years later. The value can't be beat. It drives/rides very well in all types of weather including snow. I do agree the transmission is a bit slow on the upshift but if you use the "Sport" feature there is no issue with acceleration at all. I highly recommend the Tucson based on our first 2 months of ownership (no issues). My dealer experience was below average but that may differ for you. I suggest you find a dealer you like first then negotiate.

certain amenities
had a 2007 Tucson.it was better. heated mirrors extra. no split rear window. found cabin small.too many items on dash.confusing or not needed. heat is poor upon starting. takes almost 10 minutes for heat to start. looks like every other 2018 suv on road.tinny. good gas mileage.cargo space good.rear deck carpeted.everything slides around.keyless entry on all but the drivers door. cost of a replacement key is about $250.wow. after very cold weather, heat is lousy. wouldn't even melt all the ice off the windshield after 20 minutes. they need better engineers
