Used 2013 Hyundai Sonata Consumer Reviews
Extreme tire wear
Car is designed with tire lean that is not adjustable. Be prepared to buy new tires every 15,000 miles or listen to them thump as you drive down the road.
Can't believe it!!
Had the car for three years and one day out of blue the motor locked without warning! I just don't understand it. I wish I could trade it!

steering problem!
when I first got the car I loved it. that was before I went on the highway. on the highway the car is dangerous!! not safe! steering is very sensitive and it is hard to keep the car in the lane. bad design and i'm very surprised that no one crushed this car on the highway yes and there is not a recall. after I discover the problem I called the sales person and she told me that it is normal, bc of the electric steering power...what kind of nonsenses is this? I drove Hondas for the last 15 years but fell in love with this car on the test drive and the price was great. so for now I will say. great city car and that's it!!
A lemon underneath a very nice looking exterior
The 2013 Sonata is a very nice looking car. I traded in a 2010 Elantra for the Sonata. The Elantra is a much better car than the Sonata. The Sonata has a very rough ride, especially at highway speeds. I expect this to lead to abnormal tire wear. The GPS/Radio/Bluetooth/AC combination is poorly designed and difficult to use. The combination design gives you control over one function at a time. For example, when the navigator is active and you receive a call, the navigator goes to the background. If you are on the call when you need to make a turn, you will miss it. The voice recognition feature is absolutely horrible. I have gone to using an external GPS and avoid using the built-in
Turbo fun.
For some reason I purchased a Turbo Sonota and wondered why since I'm 65. But, since I've been driving it I'm finding it is really fun. Very smooth and powerful. I leave most folks in the dust. I've had Elantra's and Tucson's and this is a pocket rocket. I was spoiled by the Tuscon's easy in and out because it is so high. But, I'm adjusting to the lower Sonota. The regular Sonota was fast enough so you really don't need all this extra power but it sure is fun and not too hard on your wallet, gas wise. And. it really is easy on the eyes. My brother looks at it and says, man, that's one beautiful car.
