A lemon underneath a very nice looking exterior
The 2013 Sonata is a very nice looking car. I traded in a 2010 Elantra for the Sonata. The Elantra is a much better car than the Sonata. The Sonata has a very rough ride, especially at highway speeds. I expect this to lead to abnormal tire wear. The GPS/Radio/Bluetooth/AC combination is poorly designed and difficult to use. The combination design gives you control over one function at a time. For example, when the navigator is active and you receive a call, the navigator goes to the background. If you are on the call when you need to make a turn, you will miss it. The voice recognition feature is absolutely horrible. I have gone to using an external GPS and avoid using the built-in
Turbo fun.
For some reason I purchased a Turbo Sonota and wondered why since I'm 65. But, since I've been driving it I'm finding it is really fun. Very smooth and powerful. I leave most folks in the dust. I've had Elantra's and Tucson's and this is a pocket rocket. I was spoiled by the Tuscon's easy in and out because it is so high. But, I'm adjusting to the lower Sonota. The regular Sonota was fast enough so you really don't need all this extra power but it sure is fun and not too hard on your wallet, gas wise. And. it really is easy on the eyes. My brother looks at it and says, man, that's one beautiful car.

NEVER AGAIN
in 2016, I purchased my beautiful Remington Red 2013 Huyndai Sonata with bluetooth, back up camera and a panaramic roof. Fell in love with the car instantly! In 2017 there was a recall on the engine and before I could get it to the dealership, the engine blew. It was replaced and handed back to me running great. So here we are again in 2019 and I received an email about the car engine needing a system update. Low and behold, before I was able to get the car back to the dealership, the car quit on me. I thought it was something minor and had to ahve it towed to the dealership. Called a few days later to see what the problem was and I was told it was the engine AGAIN. So currently i am waiting for the ,engine to be replaced for the second time in 3 years. UPDATE May 05,2020 I cannot stress the fact that this is the worse car I have ever purchased. My panoramic roof (which I’ve barely used) will open but it won’t shut unless it’s forced. The tail lights keep going out and I was told that these cars have wiring issues that cause this problem. My back up camera no longer works. The screen is blue. This car is only 7 years old. I can’t trade it in because I owe so much on it (my fault) IM JUST OVER IT!

Great Car
I've put 24K miles on my limited turbo Sonata and I like it even more than when I bought it. It's fast, comfortable, gets great gas milage and...most importantly...so much fun to drive. I would definitely buy this car again.
My wife is in love.
Just got my wife the 2013 Hyundai Sontat SE, and she is in love. The exterior is sporty and the interior is luxurious. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. I definitely recommend this vehicle!
