Saved my family's life
First...The automatic braking on our Sonata limited saved my wife and daughters life. I'm addition they were surrounded by timely and appropriate airbags. I loved driving this car. Switching drive modes gave a varying impressive and new experience. The technology was user friendly and Android auto was flawless. More bang for your buck and classy. Thanks again.

Best Car I've ever owned
I bought the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid GLS which in Canada is just below the top of the line model. It had everything I wanted leather seats, panoramic sun roof and blind spot monitoring. After one year of driving I have had no problems. I don't have a lead foot and leave it in economy mode and over a year of winter and summer driving have averaged 5 litres/ 100 KM which is about 49 MPG (US). I am getting Toyota Prius like economy with all the comfort safety and convenience of a luxury car. Compared to the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord Hybrids, I like the styling and visibility better. I also found the competition lower to the ground and therefore harder to get in and out of and considerably more expensive. The warranty is also better. Resale value is not as good, but I don't intend to sell it for a long time. After 3 years + still very satisfied. This car along with lots of other Hyundais is subject of a recall (R0180) in Canada involving the engine crankshaft. Probably not good news. There was a problem in the assembling at the factory and not all vehicles will be affected. A software update has been installed to detect the problem. If an engine warning appears, take it to the dealer immediately. The good side is the waranty on the engine has been extended to 200,000 KM or about 125,000 miles. The standard waranty in Canada is 60,000 KM much less than in the USA. I still plan to keep this car along time. Very comfortable, very quiet, and the gas mileage is exceptional ! Now have 62,000km and have no engine problems. The anti-sway bar links in the rear suspension and the front suspension ball joints were all replaced, thankfully under warranty. Quite a bit early for that to happen I would think. However I live in the country and although I am a careful driver I can't avoid all the ruts and pot holes. The anti-sway bar link problem was detected because I complained of a rattling sound at the back going over washboard. The new anti-sway bars corrected that, but I am now getting another interior or exterior rattle under the same conditions. Still like the car very much and intend to keep it a long time. The gas mileage is still exempletory. The rattle turned out to be the driver's seat cushion rubbing on the plastic molding on the left side of the seat. Solved by jamming (out of sight) some grey foam pipe insullation between the two ! Still love the car and plan to keep it until I may switch to pure electric.

Pray your battery doesn’t fail
On September 3 I brought my car in for an acceleration issue. It was determined the hybrid battery was failing. It is now October 7 and my vehicle is still in the shop because apparently there are no batteries available. They can’t even tell me when one will be available. Unless you want to own a $10,000 paper weight don’t buy this car b
Almost everything you could want
Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited has almost everything you could want. Things missing that could really dress it up include heated steering wheel, auto sensor wipers, and keys that remember the vehicle settings specific to the key user. But honestly, these aren't deal killers, quite obviously since I bought the car. It's a great car in regards to other luxury features and the mileage is the crown jewel. Love that mileage!!
