Cute Trucklett but becoming afraid to drive
I too have had a problem with RPM "flairs" 4000 RPM during gentle acceleration and only going about 20 mph? Or how about a 2-3 second delay before the engine engages if you have to accelerate harder. I'm on day 3 waiting on a response from the survey advisor. Had my last Hyundai for 230,000 miles. It's still going and has had zero problems. I just don't think they are as good as they were
Love My Santa Cruz, Exceeds My Expectations
I am very happy with my Santa Cruz (SC). I watched videos, read reviews and researched after I came across an ad for the SC. The look and features were so cool but not being impulsive I needed to research other options. After a lifetime of buying cars that were nice but that I could afford I realized I was in a position to afford what I wanted as well. I live in a neighborhood in a large city and want to be comfortable tooling around. I also did not want to stress parking. I go camping, move home stuff and love tech. I found the trim and features I wanted. The SEL trim (preferred the wireless connectivity and physical dials) AWS with the activity package for the bed cover, tech and safety features. I also did not need the turbo engine. I liked and nearly pulled the trigger on a competitor because the SC is hard to find, especially with the features and color I chose. But I wanted the SC because the others were lacking so I held out for what I wanted. I had it for a week now and it does not disappoint. It's gorgeous. Everyone that sees it comments how stylish it is. It drives great. The dealership that I bought it from was a two-hour drive from home. Very comfortable, the tech is amazing, it's quiet and I keep discovering details and features. There are tons of reviews for details on features, style performance of the SC so I'm not going to repeat them but do recommend reviewing to see what it has to offer. I will say the vehicle exceeds my expectations and the SEL trim with activity pack is perfect for me.

Very cool trucklet/SAV
I just got an SC limited. I wanted a top safety pick with decent power, good handling, AWD, good headlights (which this trim has), character, and usefulness as a play and work sidekick. So far, I am very happy. I can throw all my kayaking gear in the bed, bring home mulch and plants for the garden, tailgate party, plein air paint, etc, and do it without messing up the interior of the car. Plus, it is fun to drive, has 360 surround cameras and tons of other tech that is fairly user-friendly. When you use turn signals, the appropriate side-camera image displays on the instrument panel, which is a nice safety touch. Power and handling are quite good, it feels firmly planted on the road with good acceleration. It is also nice to have something that stands out from the sea of similar SUVs that populate the roads where I live, though styling is a matter of personal preference. I like that it fits in the garage. While some SUVs and pickups offer more cargo space, thie SC has a compelling combination of features that fill my needs. I usually do not buy a car in its first year out, so I hope reliability is good. Hyundai's warranty is quite good, which is a plus.

The best vehicle I've ever owned
Absolutely love the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz 2.5 turbo AWD Limited. It's the perfect union of the best parts of a car/SUV combined with the ability to do some truck stuff with out driving a large truck. I'm hoping they make a hybrid version, but for now I'm in love.

Fun to drive but tech is a miss
I love how this truck looks and handles. It is fun to drive. If I could rate things individually, I would give the tech a 2 star. The remote start is almost useless and frustrating. By the time it works… when it works I am usually within 5 feet of the truck…. Useless. It is not a deal breaker but so very disappointing.
