Really like my new Kona! This car is very roomy inside. In fact it's just as big as my 2021 Tuscon that I traded in. It is also pretty quiet inside. I love the way the screens are integrated into the dash. I hate the look of cars where the info screen looks like someone stuck an IPad on the dash as an afterthought. Was impressed that the hood has struts instead of just a prop rod. I have had this Kona for about a month and really like it. Love the looks and I got the Neoteric Yellow which really Pops against the black trim! Many people think it is an EV. I don't have a top of the line model, it is the SE, but it's still nice. My only downside so far is that the ride is a bit firm. It handles well also. Really glad I saw this car when I stopped by the Hyundai dealer.

Issue after Issue

Highly would not recommend this car. It is a nice little car when it is running right. Drives well, handles well, and good in the snow. But the problem arise when it comes to the Main Battery, Auxillary Battery, and the BCM. Along with the fact that Hyundai Service Department where I live refuses to listen to the issues. First it started with the Updates every 4 months completely killing the battery and Hyundai claiming it was just a Update Recall, so, completely dead battery 4 times in less than a year because of an Update. Next up, External Devices Slowly draining battery, not word on the cause of that. Next, now the car keeps shutting down, and going completely dark. All exterior lights, interior lights all go out, the radio goes out, windshield wipers go out. So, basically everything that you need to drive at night like I do, goes completely dark. Done research and it due to the Aux Battery located in the back passenger seat being drained, and the BCM failing because of the Aux Battery. But, Hyundai refuses to acknowledge me and actually check the Aux Battery to verify that it is the cause. 2024 Hyundai Kona Limited with 16k miles.

I have owned only Toyotas for the last 30 years, and I was very impressed with our Kona. The technology is great, love the big screen for Apple car play. This is a second car, and it’s perfect for my husband and myself. The ride is quiet, comfortable, and smooth. We’ve only owned it for a few weeks, but so far, it was a great decision.

Sweet Little Ride

We purchased a 2024 Kona LTD recently after driving a Honda Pilot for about a decade. It's only been a few months, but so far we are very happy with this purchase. We got a model that had been used as a loaner by the dealership and had a few hundred miles on it for about $7,000 off the normal price. The limited model is loaded with tech, infotainment and safety features and is also pretty fun to drive, thanks to a turbo engine, especially if you put it in sport mode. It also has a very convenient four-wheel drive mode that places equal power in all four wheels, for bad weather or harsher, hillier terrain. The downside of the fun turbo engine is that its mileage is not great for a smaller vehicle. Another downside is that you can really feel when you go over speed bumps and other obstacles in this car, due to a relatively soft suspension. Lastly, this is a personal choice, but we got the Neoteric yellow color, which my wife loves but is very divisive: we've actually had people glare at us on the highway, presumably about our loud choice in car colors. Overall, this is a very good modern vehicle that I would recommend to anyone in the market for a smaller compact SUV crossover type of vehicle with the latest technology. We're viewing it as our final gas-powered car. It has a few downsides but is a very good value for the money, with different trims for different budgets. The SEL is honestly probably the best deal, but we got the luxe one!

Honestly Hyundai offers a lot for what you are paying for. I just hope that this car lasts a long time. I just hit 1,000 miles and so far no issues. I will update if something happens.
