2025 Honda Passport Consumer Reviews

Impressive
I've owned the 2023 Honda Passport Trail Sport for only a brief time, but have been really impressed with its performance, ride, and even fuel economy (averaged 26 mpg on recent trip). The V6 280 HP engine is fantastic, and a real differentiator within the segment, it is powerful and responsive. Vehicle is super roomy yet handles quite nicely for its size. The rugged trail sport look and the Honda reliability make this a stand out choice. Highly recommend it.

Love our New Passport, even with its Glitches
Almost 1,000 miles on it, love our Black Edition, Red color! Will compare it to our other SUV, a 2016 Grand Cherokee Overland. 1. Size - much bigger inside with the exact same length. Smaller engine compartment since no need for the extra room a 5.7 Hemi option requires on the Jeep. Also, less slope to windshield and back, plus straighter sides. Taller, so more headroom and no center hump for the rear seat. Jeep requires it since it has the hydraulic suspension. Super comfortable inside, large back seat and rear cargo area. 2. Ride - firm, but tracks great. Better turning radius. Very smooth on the highway. Visibility is outstanding. 3. Options - has just about everything and most controls are easy to access. Climate controls could have been larger. 4. High build quality. 5. Large amount of hidden storage under the rear cargo area. Glitches: 1. What dumb engineer designed the sunglasses holder? It's a struggle to get my aviator sunglasses in and out. Way too small due to the dumb idea of incorporating a mirror to see the rear seat occupants. 2. Steering wheel adjustment. Still in the dark ages with a pull-down bracket to make the adjustments. 8-year-old Jeep has an electronic adjustment that can easily be used while driving. Small adjustments on a long road trip can be nice on the driver's arms. 3. Put a darn upper tray in the center console. What good is a big cavern? Immediately bought one on Amazon, makes the center console perfect. This is a no brainer for Honda to fix. 4. No carpeted cargo area protector! Not even an option. This is nuts. Just the regular floor and a dealer added optional "hard" protector on which any hard-shelled item (suitcase or ice chest) goes for a joy ride unless wedged against something non-hard-shelled. 5. Wish the navigation/entertainment screen included a climate control section. The Jeep has both knob controls and screen controls. 6. My next set of tires with definitely be off-road style (only comes on the TrailSport). 7. The manual is written in a font size only a 20 year old can clearly see. The pictures are blurry, and controls/buttons are nearly impossible to identify on the blurred pictures. It's frustrating to read it, which is essential because of the large variety and complexity of the control options and adjustments. Still, love the Passport. UPDATE: A couple other items to say positive about our new Passport Black Edition: 1.When you fold the rear seat backs down, the seat bottoms don't slide forward, like our Jeep Grand Cherokee. You get a nice totally flat, big storage area AND you retain the huge rear footwell with no center hump. 2. Continually impressed with the smooth ride, great tracking and unlimited visibility. 3. Impressive power and we're getting better gas mileage than stated.

Elite among most SUVs
This is a great SUV and am learning more about it every day. Never had a vehicle with some many technical features. Fortunately there are many YouTube intro videos.

Traded 2015 4runner for 2023 Passport Trailsport
Found Passport very comparable to 4runner in horse power, cargo space and towing capacity, very important items to me. Drives like a car and is much quieter. Pleased to date.
Retirement Present to Myself
I could not be happier with this SUV. I have never owned a Honda before. The Passport offers safety, comfort, and great features for the price.
