My first car purchase
I bought a certified pre-owned 2014 CRV with 70K miles, and this car drove wonderfully. It cut like butter through the snow, and never had any issues in weather. I put about 20K miles on this car during the 7 months that I owned it. Unfortunately, I got in an accident that totaled the car (airbags went off, nothing that had to do with the car), however, after being hit in the rear left side, and being spun around more than 360 degrees, my air bags instantaneously went off, and I was absolutely fine. I walked away from the accident with a scratch on my left arm. This car is so incredibly reliable, and I went right back to Honda and got another one. I loved every minute of driving this car and would highly recommend it to anyone. I drove for work, and for pleasure.
Solid SUV
Overall, my CR-V has been reliable and pleasant to drive. I currently have a little over 102,000 miles on it, and I've had no major mechanical issues with it. It is still on its original brakes. No leaks of any kind. AC still blows cold. So far, the only money I've spent on it has gone to maintenance, which has been carried out as suggested by the Honda maintenance minder. The interior is showing some wear, but this is to be expected after 5 years with me. My only issues, are the following: 1) Compass Sensor: my compass sensor has behaved erratically for several months now and causes the direction in which I am traveling to display incorrectly and constantly blink when I drive. The fix suggested by the owners manual does not fix the problem. Sometimes, the problem goes away, and the compass works properly again. 2) Batteries don't seem to last long with this vehicle. I'm lucky if I get 18 months out of one. My electrical system always checks out fine during maintenance. 3) My CR-V has the well-documented "croak" that can be head when the vehicle is stopped and the AC is running. When I first started hearing it, it was highly annoying, but I eventually got used to it. Again, these are minor issues, and overall the vehicle has been highly-dependable. I hope to put another 100K miles on it over the next few years.

2014 Honda CRV Disaster
This was our 4th Honda automobile. It was also our last. This model was extremely noisy, rough riding and technologically insufficient. The navigation system was not user friendly and in fact our salesman couldn't show us how to use it. Very poor quality compared to previous years. Traded it for a 2015 Ford Edge. Bye, bye Honda.

Lost my favorite aspects of car
Happy with reliability of CRV. However, there were 3 things I loved about my 2010 CRV that are now gone. Floor to roof cargo height reduced by 8" (have to put bike on slant now). Open floor area between front seats (great for computer bag) now filled with a useless console. Middle folding rear seat good for putting skiies through and 2 passengers - gone to 2/3, 1/3 split - now skiies and only 1 passenger. Plastic grey trim on top level trim - ugly and cheap. So my favorite things about car gone and I am in work around mode. Probably will look at other alternatives. Hoping the tires on this car last longer than the 30K on 2010 model. Honda has turned a "Sport utility" vehicle into just another "family" vehicle.

My 3rd CRV
This is the 3rd CRV I have owned. Jimmy Sears at Autonation Honda in Chandler, AZ was my sales person and the experience was exceptional. Now I am the proud owner of a 2014 CRV. I have owned two others previously and traded them in to drive other vehicle I thought would be THE vehicle for me. Obviously I have come back to the CRV. In my opinion it is tough to beat the convenience and reliability of these vehicles. They give you the comfort of a sedan with the convenience of an SUV and the gas mileage of an economy car. I'm done experimenting with other vehicles. I have my CRV and this what I plan to drive from now on.
