Excellent vehicle, Honda rules
I switched from my Audi A6 to an 08 Honda CR-V. The style of the 08 cr/v speaks for itself, it looks great on the road. The Honda no nonsense packages are great. I have been driving German cars for past 12 years and switch to a Honda CR-V was pleasant. The ride quality is good, the driver feedback is always very good. The 166 hp is pretty good, occasionally you do feel a little challenged when passing or while overtaking but overall its very good. Love the fact I can use regular gas and the fuel economy is very good. The real time 4WD sounds good. The interior build quality is very good, there is great attention to detail.

Test drove RAV4 but disliked the side- opening tailgate. Got CR-V EX-L 2 weeks ago. No regrets! Especially love the rear camera and the voice- command Navigation feature (e.g., you can ask it to find the nearest "Mexican restaurant" or to tell you what time it is). Amazed by the performance of a "weak" 166 hp engine! It is smooth and quiet. My other car is a 10-year old BMW 540i, but I prefer driving my CR-V EX-L instead!

An expensive lesson
We left our 2005 CR-V SE at our winter home in Arizona with the intention of buying a new Honda Accord when we arrived in N.C. We purchased the Accord EXL. Immediately we knew that we made a huge error. After 3600 miles, we traded for a New CR-V EXL. We are hooked. I actually attained 36 MPG on a freeway trip driving at 59 MPH with the cruise control set. Unfortunately, the trade was expensive because I was at the dealer's mercy. Am I sorry? Heck no. It only hurt for a little while and WE LOVE our two CR-V's.
