I just love it
OMG...I got such a great deal on the car how can I not love it. Since the first day I saw this car on the road I wanted one. I am so happy I didn't buy that Su
It turned me!
I've been a longtime diehard V8 lover. That being said I had it up to my eyeballs with replacing parts for my Firebird and finally broke down and bought a Honda for its reliability as a daily driver. To my amazement this is an incredibly fun to drive little car and it's got enough power to play around on the freeways (I've gotten it up to 135mph). In addition to that the handling is the best you could imagine on any car under $40K. I still take my TransAm to the track on the weekend, but the Si really changed my mind about I-4s.
Great lil' car! but... got tires?
Ok, so maybe it's a little premature to write a review on my car already. I just purchase a new 2002 Civic Si about a week and a half ago.So far I've been very pleased with my purchase. The car in Si form is quite eye catching.. especially my color (euro yellow). The interior doesn't bore me at all, especially the shifter position (which all my friends find quite exciting). The gas milease seems to be getting a little better now. The first tank sucked. Overall it is a very fun, compact, daily driver.
Power and Build Quality
You want a quick fun to drive little sporty car then this is your bet. Yeah the Focus SVT is faster but it is built like something from fisher price. Great seats, great gas miliage for the power and a 5 start frontal and 4 star side impact something the competition cant match. You want mods, you got em! All the way from simple cold air boxes gaining you 12 hp all the way to bolton turbo's taking you to 277 hp. Let me tell you, I have the bolt on turbo and not much can match the straight line take off that this little puppy gives me. As for a stock model it is a great little get about with excelent power on the road.
transmission
i like my car overall. It gets good gas mileage and has pretty good pickup for a four. I did have to get a new transmission though it hadn't gone yet but they thought it might but it was under warrenty so they replaced it for free. Its worked great ever since.
great car so far
well, the main reason i bought this car is that my previous vehicle was a jeep wrangler and if you cant guess already.. miles per gallon.. from 12 mpg to 32-39.. i know the vehicles are very different but im just happy to be in this one instead now! the suspension is just right for my taste(semi aggresive driver) as is the conservative styling. i am 6'4" tell and sit fairly comfortably in my baby. no defects of any kind so far after 3500 miles. the headlights work very well and signals are highly visible.
Excellent choice !
Bought it for $15,400 ( excluded taxes & license ). The seat is comfortable, sporty ! The car is fun to drive, city or highway. Its unique exterior design turned alot of heads. No need for premium gas ! Highly recommended !
Awesome Car!!!
Got this car a week ago and it hauls!!! Considering that this car has a base RSX Integra engine in it for $16,000 (little bit more than what I paid for it) you're getting a lot of car for the money. The wheels are really nice, the seats are out of this world. I'm really tall and can actually fit in this car with no serious discomfort. This car loves to rev high and go fast. Salesman let me take the car for 30 mile test drive and he let me race people in city traffic with it! Beat an old Integra GSR and a Jeep GC V-8 with peeling the tires out -but hey, I won them with a car worth so much less?
My Civil Little Civic
I bought my Civic from a local Honda dealer in 2005, had 36,000 miles on it. I change the oil every 3000 miles. Only had to replace the battery, front brake pads, tires. Only out of the ordinary repairs were the airbag sensor (Honda replaced for free not even under warranty!), a tie rod (wear & tear), and some electrical connection that had to do with one of my headlights. It's not the most flashy, fast car but it's zippy, economical, and just right for me. If I had kids or pets to haul around I'd probably go for the sedan or an Accord but for now I love the coupe. I'm a Honda person for life now after having an Oldsmobile & Chevy. If I had to do it again, I'd get a 5 speed if available.
Great Daily Commute
I got this car as a graduation present from high school to use in college. I drive it about 30 miles per day and couldn't ask for a better car. It's fun with manual and the gas milage is great. I like the pickup and wouldn't want another car.
