read the long term reliability reviews!!
Don't make the same mistake I did and read the long term reliability consumer reports. The car is GREAT for the first few months (2-3k) and then problems start... I can only speak for my dealer (Sam Swope Honda World) which treated me like I was crazy for reporting a shimmy wheel issue and they weren't able to resolve the problem; but if you read the Edmunds online forums you'll see many similar issues with Accords. I wish I'd read all these before deciding to purchase this car.
2012 Fully Loaded Honda Accord EX, 2.4 Cyclinder
Initially bought the car off the lot during the Presidents Sale but had to upgrade it with leather seating with front seats heating. I had to also add a outside thermometer reading which was not offered in any of the Hondas. I did get a nice value of $11K for my 2009 Honda Accord as a trade-in which had low mileage at below 36K miles. It was a dependable car regarding reliability and I enjoyed the 6 CD-changer that also plays my 9 hours of MP3's during my long distance travels. It was a little underpowered but an improvement over the 2009 Honda Accord. I will probably missed this feature dearly since most new cars are getting rid of CD players. Unfortunately, value of 2012 Honda was only $6K with my new trade-in, despite all the added options that includes the moonroof with worn out tires and a few scratches. It was time to trade it in and go with an SUV as most consumers as most consumers are buying these days. Also, it's nice to change it up after driving a Honda Accord for 10 years.

Test the windows before you buy!
The windows streak severely after having been washed or after car has been driven in the rain. Even up to two days later when the rest of the (garaged!) car is completely dry rolling the window down and back up will leave severe streak marks obstructing the view from that window and, consequently, the mirrors. Even though me and everybody else who has seen it disagrees and consider it a safety issue, my dealer says this is normal so PLEASE, if you have to use your windows a lot, check before you buy! Shame on Honda!
Breaking noise when coming from a complete stop at stop lights
It appears that in most of these 1012 models there is a break noise that becomes increasing loud when the weather temperatures increase. This was rather frustrating because I bought this car in the winter of last year and as it became summer the noise became prominent. Before you purchase this car please test drive it during hot weather and let go of the break after coming to a complete stop. It will crunch and grind as if it were a car with 500+ miles on it. My family owns 5 honda accords from previous years and none of them make this noise. The dealer indicates that it's the pads shifting, but if that were the case why does it change with the weather and only in this model.
Honda Accord SE'12
Super Smooth engine, refined ride quality. Respectable fuel economy from a 5 speed trans. Surprising that both 177HP and 190HP 4cyl share same fuel economy. Leather trim looks/feels sharp. Torque on up-hill start tends to kick-in at higher RPM's.
