Bought ours in 2011 with 11k miles on. Only thing we have changed is alternator besides oil, filter, brake pads, and wiper blades. Now have a little over 140k on and still love it.
Ticking noise

Has any one out there herd a noise like a ticking comeing from the front of the moter of a 4 banger Terrian SLT2 when you first start up in the morning and later on in the day when the engin is hot you may hear it if you walking bay the front end well it is still running.a ticking noise on the four banger.It sounds like a valve lifter noise when you my hear it. Thanks

I bought a 2010 GMC Terrain and it has been a nightmare. About six months after I bought it the engine needed to be repaired for excessive oil consumption. The SUV runs rough and erratic. Check engine lights up frequently. Cracked the manifold, high pressure fuel pump was pushing fuel in to the crankcase. Fouled up the spark plugs. This truck just keeps going when it comes to defects. This has been the worst investment I have ever made.

This is the worst car I've ever owned! So many problems! Transmission replaced at 101,000 miles. Constantly burning through oil, blew a hole in the transfer case, chugging and during at stop lights, have replaced a rotor 6 times in the past 3 years. Getting rid of this vehicle the first chance I get!!

This car was put in the shop every other week. As a single mom I had came down To feed the family or fix car. I want or need To give this one back to GM. I will take a huge loss I had to replace major parts in this car. I only had it less than Two years! DO NOT PURCHASE A TERRIAN... I lost a lot of money looking to purchase forgien vehicles only!!!
