Purchased new, soccer mom vehicle. Services maintained by Dealer. ISSUES: 24k Miles / Battery - A constant electrical system slow drain requires new battery every 24 months 40k, 70k, 100k Miles / Brakes - good pads but rotors constantly wrapped, replaced 60k Miles / AC - System condenser replacement 90k Miles / Transmission - catastrophic failure, replaced 95K Miles / Suspension - catastrophic failure, ball joint units replaced. 100 Miles / 4x4 - Transfer case leakage I've been informed a engine top end valve repair will be coming soon. GM products use substandard materials that ensures product failures requiring expensive repairs. Will not purchase this brand again.

GM products use substandard materials that ensures product failures requiring expensive repairs. GM wants you to "have" to buy a new vehicle. Will not purchase this brand again.

Awful Electrical System

I have a regular work truck a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5.3 liter. Less thats in it, less to go wrong with it, right??? Well not the case with this vehicle!!! The trailer plug is prone to corrosion, even if you don’t use it. The reverse lights stay on constantly & will not turn off. Which I found out is a common problem. The fuse box under the hood are crap. Should not have such issues with only 55,000 miles on the vehicle. I had a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 5.7 liter for 20 yrs & only had the brake lights go out after 15 yrs of owning it. Do not buy a GMC nor Chevrolet truck. The electrical wiring & harness are worn out already. Not made like they used to be.

All shoppers should know what their primary purpose is for the vehicle and look at only those vehicles that serve that purpose.

Navigation is average to poor. Voice is sorriest in the industry. The nav system was out of date when we drove it off the showroom floor. The dealership refused to waive the update costs. We use “Waze” for navigation. Our 2004 Lexus system is more reliable than GM’s.
