This car went to me from my grandma and I couldn't be more happy with it! Honestly, I had considered selling this car at first (with the few miles and its good condition, it could get a good price), but after a year of owning it, I must say, I couldn't get rid of it now. My younger sister loves going for rides my car, and I became so attached to it that I even gave it a name! The only issue I had was an antifreeze leak because my grandma barely ever drove it, so most of its nine years of life was spent in the garage; and the gas gauge isn't entirely correct, but other than that, no major problems. Great, reliable sedan; I recommend it for almost anyone.

Amazing !

2002 Ford Taurus SEL Deluxe 4dr Wagon (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Beautiful car, have it for one month so far and can't believe how smooth the engine is. Fantastic seats and quiet ride. Amazing sound system (I have the MACH). I know previous Taurus models have had reliability problems but I really believe most of these things have been worked out. After all, the engine design has been around for 15 years !! Plan on keeping this car at least 10 years.

Taurus brakes!

2002 Ford Taurus SEL Premium 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Seems to be a good car with plenty of power and features including good safety features. However, I'll have to say had I known the Taurus sedan did not have rear disc brakes I would not have bought it. It's my fault for not being smart enough to know this, however, the salesman should have been up front with me on this matter as he was with every other feature of the car. My last five cars including my current second car have four wheel disc brakes; I'll never buy another car without them. There isn't a car in the Taurus competition that doesn't have or offer four wheel disc brakes (Camry, Accord, Altima, Maxima).

We have over 80,000 miles on the car and have only had minor repairs on the trim over the door. Other than that the car has been maintenance free, and gets 29 mpg, We drive it 40 miles one way to work every day, and would love to see Ford keep it in their lineup and not replace it.

Ford Taurus Wagon

The Ford Taurus Wagon has been an excellent car--except for a MAP sensor that had to be replaced. No other problems. I wonder about the power antenna that goes up and down every time the radio/CD is turned on or the engine is started and shut off. How many times will that cycle before failure--it seems unnecessary. The car is roomy, can carry bulky items with no problem The 24V 3.0 is a good engine, it has good pickup and responds well in traffic--no complaints. Good gas mileage for a mid-size wagon--about 26 highway, 20 or so city.
