I love my 2001 Taurus!
I bought my Taurus April, 2019 with a 141,400 miles on her, and she needed a lot of attention. I had to replace the oil pump, rack and pinion, steering pump, cam shaft synchronizer, both headlight assembly's, tie rod ends, water pump, belt tensioner... Yes, she needed a lot of maintenance but these are wear and tear parts. she now has a 154,000 miles on her and she runs like a dream. My only issue is with the automatic transmission, it is slow to shift when I need to accelerate quickly but it is still operating well.

I will never buy another ford taurus
I have had my 1999 ford taurus for two years and since then I have had to buy a $2200.00 transmission, two hundred dollar alternator, $500.00 brake jog and a $100.00 power steering pump. I will never buy another ford.
MATT (FORMER "JEEP A HOLIC")
I DROVE A JEEP TJ FOR A YEAR THEN BOUGHT THE NEW FORD TAURUS AND IT IS GREAT, IT HAS POWER, COMFORT, AND LOOKS.. OVER ALL LOOKS LIKE ITS GOING TO BE A REALLY GOOD CAR. JUST GOING TO MISS THE 4 WHELL DRIVE.
Ford Taurus
The transmission blew at 51, 000 miles and the vehicle has been in the shop for numerous mechanical things. I would not buy another Ford if it were the last car on the market.
No Bull About It!
Purchased 2001 SEL 24valve DOHC w/ 41K...now 108k...not a bad ride...reliable...expect to rack up another 30k...hopefully, I'll make it and then dump it...I hate cars...it gets me from Pt. A to Pt. B...simply it's transportation...I might treat myself to a better car...because I've earned it....Lexus LS 460 or BMW 535 xi or MB E350.
