It is the best car I ever owned. I was tired of driving Toyotas. Next year, I plan on buying a new Taurus or Sable to replace it.

We bought our SES used with 19,000 miles on it for $10,800 (good price). It has a power moonroof, rear spoiler, nice wheels, front bucket seats. We really like the firm seats, leg room, roomy trunk and sporty look. The car drives great and handles well. The V-6 is not as peppy as my Olds, but it does just fine. We are very happy with it so far.

Ford Taurus, Mistake

Since the day I purchased this car I have problems. Starting with dealership, they played with numbers. wrote Ford a few times made several calls but useless. They do not cooperate; have no control over the dealers. A few months later the keyless entry failed, AC fan making noise. The car sometimes hesitiates to pickup. Recently a dealer said it is a fuel filter, cost about $70, but it was not the problem. Complain to Ford again, customer service is polite but dealer again did not care what they are saying and what you are saying. Devalue more that 50% in less than 3 years with 25K miles. I would never let anyone buy Ford if I can.

Don't bother with this junker

At 105,000 miles the transmission is failing. Reverse is broken. The shifter does not shift into gear. My only options are drive and park. Emergency break must be used or else it won't stay put when off. Electric mirrors do not work. Knob for lights falls off. Even though it's garage kept, it can't seem to handle the FL sun for the short duration it's in it. Timing is going bad possibly, so is the engine. Not one single mechanic can explain what is going on with the thing. The guesswork repairs cost more than the car is worth. Routine oil changes & tune ups, etc. No clue what is wrong. One mechanic says it looks like someone tried to steal it and that's why the shifter is broken. DONT EVER BUY A FORD!
