Used 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Consumer Reviews
2011 Shelby Mustang GT500
The car is POWERFUL, handling is near perfect, except sway bar could use a slight tweak. Very predictable. Acceleration off the line is less than impressive until your in the 4500 rpm range, then it blows everything away. The 5.4 block went major overhauls at SVT to improve performance and durability. Plasma liners inside the bores, high temperature gaskets, these features improved the strength of the engine, allowing it to push over 1000 hp, almost twice as much as it was making new. Also, 2011-12 models in near mint condition are reselling for around 55K$ ones with average mileage for those 2 years are at around 35K$-37,500K$

One fine muscle car machine
We purchased our solid black/charcoal stripes Shelby GT500 new in Aug 2013. We originally bought a new 1968 GTO in Sept. 1968, had it until 2007 when it was stolen and trashed. We still have the muscle car bug and went to the local dealership and our baby was just sitting there on the lot waiting for us. We drove it out the same day. Now have had it 10 yrs this past Aug. It gets so many looks every time we take it out. Have had many people take pictures of it while driving. It is one fun sports car to drive w/ a 6 speed manual. As long as I am able to drive it we will never part w/ it. Will be 80 next month and I would say not many 80 yr olds driving a nice Shelby

Amazing Performance
Acceleration and handling are truly amazing. This car is a blast to drive! The exhaust note is intoxicating (who needs a stereo?) and the power when you step on the gas is breathtaking. The front seats are very supportive and comfortable. Ride quality with the svt package is better than I anticipated. Overall fit and finish are very good, not to European standards but very close. The one negative with this car is it attracts a lot of attention from everyone so if you don't like attention this is not the car for you.
Love my Shelby!
Bought my Shelby used with 25,000 miles on it in Fall of 2019. It now has 31,000 and every mile is a blast. It's my Bucket List, the only thing on my list so I plan to have it until I can't drive any more (I'm 77 in March). Hopefully will have many more wonderful driving miles in my future. I live in Taos, NM, 7,000 feet so during winter she sits in the garage but when the snow melts she's a daily driver. Doing small mods are fun and gives me mechanical things to do besides yard work, LOL! Just a ball to drive and I enjoy every minute on the Enchanted Circle Drive.
