Buyer Be Aware
It is difficult to give a good review on a car that has been in the shop for 25+ days during the first 4 months of ownership.

bought used: ex-rental car with 65k
Bought this for summer touring and it seems to be a good choice. Just finished a 4500-mile trip averaging 31.5 mpg. Ample power- mash the pedal at highway speeds and it gets up and moves. Drivetrain seems a little clunky- U-joints may have suffered under rental use. Body flexes a bit, but hey, it's a convertible. Dislike the AC/heater and audio controls- designed to look good in the sales brochures, you have to look at them to use them (touch screen w/menus or small hardwired buttons). These divert your attention from the road. Brakes excellent. Seat backs don't recline much, given limited rear-seat space, so not comfortable to sleep in (tried it). Seat cooler stopped working one day into the trip, but in the spirit of the pioneers, I pressed on. On the salt flats in Utah I tested max fuel economy- at a steady 45 mph on level ground, this thing gets 53 mpg (indicated). If that's real, that's amazing. Even at 31 mpg the 15-gallon tank will take you farther between stops than you want to go. Mileage around town is in the low-mid twenties, so this pony clearly prefers to run. For the money, this Mustang is quick, comfortable, and (largely) reliable. At a gas stop in Nebraska, a young man wearing his baseball cap backwards leaned out of his friend's beemer and said "Bro, tight wheels!" Have to admit, that feels good.

Lots of Fun and easy on the gas budget
Well made, very quick with turbo four, very good on gas, I think a very good compromise between a sports car and a convertible

An improved Stang
Really like this improved Mustang GT, 6speed manual with the factory performance package. I sold mustangs from 96 to 2006 and always enjoyed their performance but didn’t buy one. It wasn’t until I test drove the 2017 mustang that I bought one! The key factors that made it a buy for me was stock hp and bhp. It also handled great With its independent suspension. It cruises the highway with ease and has great Getty up power when needed. The 3.73 gearing that game with the factory performance pack makes it quick and responsive for a stock vehicle. Placing it into sport mode increases the fun. Also, with proper driving skills one can turn off the driving dynamics/assist and really let loose. However, I only shut off the driving controls at an old shut down airport near where I live. Don’t get me wrong the car is a drivers car as it will still burn out or cut loose while shifting into 2nd Or 3rd gear when dumping your clutch at high rpms. The summer tires don’t last long but grip well in dry conditions. I’ve got 20 k miles and will need to replace the rear tires soon for the third time. Maybe too much fun!
