J.R. & Ramona's Toy
We've owned our GT Premium Coupe now for about six weeks and have accumulated only about 500 miles so far as the roads here in Germany have been pretty slick due to the winter weather that is typical this time of the year. My wife and I have had plenty of fun on the weekends driving our "toy" around on the German Autobahn where speed limits are fairly uncommon and wide open throttle is "common". Well I can say that so far our '06 "Stang" has NOT let us down yet. Besides having to replace the fuel tank since the fuel nozzle cut off every milli-second at the 1/2 tank mark, we have had absolutely no problems so far. This car is truly a "best buy"; we highly recommend!
06 GT
Ford did a great job with the style of this Mustang, however mine is in the shop for a new engine due to number 7 cylinder. Also, you will notice a piece of tape covering a hole in the firewall under the brake booster. I have contacted Ford about this but never got a reply. Once this tape dry rots and falls off, water and air will be able to come in to the interior. From what I have seen, they all have the tape covering this hole...so beware. Other then these problems, I love the car. Ford: pay attention and answer your emails and phone request for answers please.

Waited 30 years to buy one
Have had this car for 2 months and every day I like it more. The retro styling won me over the first time I saw one. 6 cylinder 5 speed fun to drive - wish gas mileage was better but that's mostly my fault. Very comfortable to drive but this is not for someone who actually wants to put passengers in the back seat, unless all four of you are short.
Great car, couple of issues
Dash board rattles, dealer couldn't fix it, filed lemon law got $2000 from Ford. Brake pads & rotors went at 12,000 miles witch is unheard of, $600- $800 job. Replaced bat after 3 yrs which is norm. Replaced fuel filter which is recommended. Rear brake bulbs have been replaced about 4 times (easy to do yourself though) other then that nothing major has gone wrong. I drive 12,000 a year, some highway road trips and still drives great.
A Great Investment!
I've had my 2006 Mustang V6 for a full month now, and all I can say is WOW! I was surprised at how "throaty" the engine is when revved. Not quite the sound of a V8 but impressive for a V6. Pick-up is very "spirited", a word that I've seen used in a few magazine reviews to describe the Mustang and I must agree. This was a great buy, I'm very happy with my Pony!
