Made for deaf midgets
If buying used- : Check for wimpy, cracking door handles with chrome plating pealing off. Wimpy springs in overhead handles, and windshield visors. If you are tall, you will have a hard time getting out. I am 6 ft. tall and suffering from claustrophobia in the driver seat. The storage (glove compartment dashboard, and center console) are minimal afterthoughts. Rearview is minimal, especialy with pasengers, and the side view mirrors require constant readjustment and contortion to try to peek at the blindspots. The center console storage/cup holder will constantly be in your way.the Ford 6 CD changer proibably does, or WILL have stuck CD's constantly trying to eject when powering up,and the radio is okay, but the subwooers are to sharp and boomy. It does move okay, but maneuvering is a bit damp. I took the car from my aging mother, but I had little input to my brothers making the purchase. I did most of the driving for her until she relinquished her driving privileges, and winter was pretty mild in 2017. If I could afford to trade it in, I would in a heartbeat. I hope the cramped driver console and room doesn't get me killed.

i look good in this car!
Taut, well put together, quiet, big back seat, zoomy, 23 mpg combined city / highway, great sound system, smooth-shifting SIX speed automatic transmission, six air bags, etc. what's not to like?
Gear Shift Replacement
I love the way the car looks on the exterior, but I hate having problems with a car already when I shouldn't be. My tabs on my steering wheel for the volume to my stereo gets stuck. I had to take my car to the dealership since the gear shift was not working. It would not let me get it into park and so I was stuck at a drive through with foot on the brake. I would like to know if anyone else is having these problems. I had to pay $100.00 deductible and shouldn't of paid it since my car is still in good condition. I had a Honda before and never had problems with it until after 150,000 miles. I should never have bought this car and will never buy a Ford again.
California Fusion Review
I really do like this car, but the only problem is that there isn't enough power. I would've gone for the V6, but they didn't have it in a manual. In any case, the reliability and build quality of the car is great (my family has owned 4 Fords in the past and this is definitely the best). The interior isn't any worse than the Accord or Camry, but all three are pretty ugly. The interior design is simple (which is a good thing) and the leather wrapped stick feels great to drive.
My Fusion
Very sensible - sedan but feels like a coupe...very good handling (and I don't prefer front wheel drives) very easy on fuel unless you jump on it, but the power is there when you demand it. That's because of a very well tuned six speed transmission. Definitely go for the six cylinder six speed auto transmission...smooth power, less hard working engine.
