Bought ours 15 years ago. Started with 26k miles, now has 102k. I've towed a 38' fifth wheel trailer from Virginia to the West Coast five times and twice into Canada. Never an issue with its 6.0 as I had the cooling system power flushed after buying and added a filter. Up and down mountains and through deserts, all at 70 mph and more. I'm certain we were over grossed many times as well. Extremely comfortable with a load, but not so much empty. Using a fuel additive helps injector longevity and keeps the noise down. Since we've sold our 5er, we'll be parting ways soon, but this has been the best truck I've ever owned.

My current truck is the sixth unit I have had in the last ten years from Angola Ford. Best damn truck on the road. Pulls like a dream but as expected the fuel economy sucks. Can't have everything but thanks to Ford and dealers like Angola Ford I won't change.

just traded in my 2004 chevy silverado 2500LT DIESEL x/cab with all the bells & whistles for this ford truck.i needed a 1 ton so i decided to go with the ford plus i liked the changes they made.i love the ford toughness,looks,power better than the chevy however the chevy is enbelievably the best riding and comfortable full size truck made.im not comfortable in the ford.the seats are hard and do not conform to your body like the chevy.i could drive 8 hours in my chevy and be so comfortable.if i drive 4 hours in the ford i feel very tired.the chevy i think is a rugged truck but i think ford builds a much more rugged truck.

Traded a '03 Ram 2500 4X4, 5.8 hemi for this. Here are my observations so far: The Ram was an excellent truck, just needed something bigger. Best points that Ram has over the Ford are: - Has better storage under front seat, rear seat and front arm rest. - Better cup holders. - Better turn radius. Best points Ford over Ram: - Better ride when loaded. - Power slide back window. - Lights in outside mirrors. -5-speed auto transmission. Trailer Brake Controller! If no other reason to buy a Ford, this is it. If you tow, this is the best!
