WOW!
I ordered this truck for my construction business. Ford did not let me down. My last truck, a '92 F-150 lasted a long time. If this one does the same, I will be well and truly pleased. The power of the 6.0 diesel has been phenomenal, however a bit more mileage wouldn't hurt at all. The molded plastic steps make it VERY easy to get in and out of the tall truck. On the minus side, there is an annoying clunk when the air-conditioning compressor kicks in, and this happens during the A/C cycle and the defrost cycle. The dealer says it is normal. The brakes are a bit spongy, but will lock the tires if you press hard enough; it just takes some getting used to. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Best Built Truck I Own
My new Ford F-250 4X4 XLT has met all the requirements I wanted except mileage. My 1977 F-250 4X4 XL only gave 11 mpg so this one giving 14 mpg is much better, but I had hoped for better than 17 mpg. This is still one well built truck for the money.

GREAT TRUCK!!
This is the first truck I can truly say meets ALL my needs and most of my wants. It is large, roomy, comfortable and powerful. With the diesel engine it doesn't even know a trailer is behind it even when the trailer is quite heavy. It is a pleasure to drive, though I do think the brakes are a bit spongy. I would also be happier with a bit more mileage from the diesel engine. All in all it is the best truck I have ever owned.
Ford Got It Right
This has to be the most powerful truck I have ever owned. Equipped with the Power Stroke Diesel this truck accelerates and handles better than most gas engines. While towing a 25ft travel trailer it is easy to forget the trailer is still back there. When cruising at 65MPH and the tow haul mode set the engine is running right in its max torque range at about 1950 RPMs, while still averaging better fuel milage than my gas F-150 ever did. Ford really got it right on this set up!
What a great Truck
I use this truck for hauling a pickup camper that weighs about 4000 lbs. This unit works perfectly, Lots of power, easy to handle and just a great vehicle.
