get the V10
Very nice to drive, very comfortable on long-distance treks. Great stereo, great performance from the motor. I have owned many trucks; this one has a real "truck" feel to it, (which is why I bought it), but is much more comfortable than any I have had before it.
big yellow
I have only had this truck for a month and have put on 3000 miles. It is extreme yellow with the Amarillo black interior. 4X4 diesel. I get 17 + mph average. It is the nicest vehicle with plenty of room. The 4 door is really great. I drove truck over the road for 35 years and figured I deserved a new pick up. I traded an '03 F-150 which was ok but if you want a brute force truck this is it. I LOVE IT! Guess I over did this write up huh!

F250 Violent,dangerous shaking
I was traveling on the I 280 south freeway with my daughter to a soccer tournament in my 2005 F250 4x4 super duty truck. We were in cruise control going approx 55 mph. We drove over what I believe was a large expansion joint on the freeway. Immediately after we traveled over joint, the vehicle start to violently shake and vibrate. After a tense moment of complete terror as the vehicle became extremely difficult to control and continued to shake violently we came to a unsafe stop on the freeway. After the complete stop, I immediately had to speed up again to prevent being rear-ended in the middle of the freeway. This vehicle is extremely dangerous and needs to be removed from the road.
Loved it till I owned it
I love the exterior, looks great. Interior was nice, but for a taller guy in the back the extended cab doesn't have all that much room. Hauling capacity is great. In the cold of north east Ohio it had a problem starting, once it started it was ok. This started at approximately 2000 miles. I took it for service and it was hooked to the diagnostic computer. Upon return I was told that until the on board computer trips the service engine light there is nothing we can do for you. When it doesn't start at all, or the light comes on, bring it back. Handling was ok. Lots of engine noise. Six speed manual transmission was nice, but clutch plate made noise sometimes upon engagement.
I own a 03 F250 XLT FX4 Extended cab
Iown the best truck for off road driving.I live on a dirt road and I'm about a mile in.My Ford has the plow package,I purchased a BOSS Plow with the help of fords $1,000 rebate and it plows my 11 hundred ft. driveway with ease.I live in NH,in the mountains on 10 acres so I cut and burn my own wood, and my F250 FX4 is a great help in that honey do list, [with the price of home heating oil]My Ford F250 FX4 is a big part of our family cause my wife loves the truck too, plenty of room for shopping
