Used 2016 Ford F-150 Consumer Reviews
Albatross
Truck drives well and is a very nice highway ride. Had it since new. Only 25,000 miles. Went for inspection sticker and it failed emissions. Been at the dealership for 2 weeks and they haven't fixed it. 2 weeks. Big mistake buying this for my retirement. Don't know what to do. Jesus help
Motor blows at 74,000
Bought this truck used at CarMax in 2019. 4 wheel drive super cab Lariat with the 5.0 v-8. I really liked the truck. I have had smaller Japanese trucks in the past. Was excited about the larger cab to haul friends and family. My son was driving the truck to work 3 months ago, (ironically because the motor in his GMC Denali had died). Truck shuddered and started misfiring he thought. His office was right next store to a Ford dealer. He got them to come and look at it with scanner. Misfiring in cylinders 4 and 8. Needs injectors. Ok go ahead and fix it. But wait, no compression in cylinder 4. Motor is toast. $8,000 for crate motor. No warranty left. Truck is in excellent shape so I said go ahead and fix it. But wait, no motors available. They do not know when one will be available. Truck has been sitting at the dealer for 4 months waiting for an engine. Could be 6 to 12 months per the dealer. Once the motor is fixed I am selling the truck. The Ford experiment is over. It is a shame because the truck is otherwise a good product. I like the design and the features. Going back to Japanese. Sorry. Tried to buy American and I got nothing to show for it. I will stick with Toyota thank you very much.

That’s tough truck
Ford has need proved to me , recently I bought used Ford F-150 king ranch , but I used to drive ford trucks for many years , my first ford truck I had was in Afghanistan, a 2006 model , for many years as military person I drove ford all over Afghanistan, the country witch known as battlefield with less paved roads and most of the time driving into mountain, river and all tough trains , if you take care of the ford it’ll work perfectly except it’s come with problems from factory that’s depend on your luck , many time the power of engine in Ford F-150 took me out of danger and help the troops to continue in their ways , the only problem with ford trucks , if you try to put them in extreme job , their engine start to lose MPG and it will get worse , other than that if you need something can count on get the ford , but make sure it hasn’t any problem, personally don’t recommend any turbocharged or eco boost engine in such heavy vehicle

Ford junk
I've had quite a few Ford products over the years and never had any major problems. I purchased a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 super crew cab truck. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!!!! It has a moon roof in it, I've only used it a hand full of times because every time I use it.....it breaks!! The dealership has replaced it twice.... Their advice was to keep it closed. I paid extra money for a moonroof that I could open and use, what a joke. The rear sliding window started giving problems closing, they checked it and said it would need a new window so they replace the entire rear window. Now with only 58000 miles on it my truck started doing something new, when I stop for a red light or stop sign the truck idles very rough and stalls. I have cleaned the throttle body, change the air filter, change the purge valve sensor, now told to change the throttle body. Way to much to be doing to a truck that I still owe $20.000 on. I'm not sure what's going on with Ford, but I want waste my hard earned money on another FORD!!!

2016 Ford F150 XLT SCREW 5.0
So dont under estimate the power from the 5.0 V8 paired with 3.73 rearend, had it for a little over 3 years have 43000 trouble free miles, I do tow a 27' travel trailer at 6500 dry weight, loaded with gear right around 7700lbs, live in New England, towing up hills in Maine, New Hampshire, no issues with lack of power, 36 gal fuel tank helps, we may average around 11.4 mpg towing I had two Toyato tacomas prior, needed something a little bigger to handle the RV. Love this truck so far.
