The truck has tons of torque and a more than a respectable amount of horsepower. I bought the truck in july of 2002 and had a few problems with it but that was due to some tuff driving. If you take care of the truck it'll take care of you. the truck gets complements from everyone old and young,and when I say old I mean senior citizen. Bottom line, I love the truck and it gave me a lot of respect for ford, except for the service and warranty department.

I have no worries about this Truck. Built ford tough is right. I go driving just for the heck of it. This thing is so awsome. And the girls love it. I'm the first person I know to own a '04 Lightning. Now 2 of my buddies are going to get one. Good Job Ford

squeeking brakes

My rear brakes squeek everytime I put them on I've taken the truck back to the dealership and they tell me there is nothing they can do about it Its the material Ford uses for their brake parts. This noise drives me crazy as nice as the truck is I wouldn't have bought it if I had known about this.

This is the best truck ever built. I've owned or my company has owned 5 different trucks in the past 15 years and this one makes the rest of them, including my 2001 F-250 Powerstroke Diesel 4x4 to shame in quality and design. It makes my Chevy's look like crap. If you want a REAL truck, buy the F-150.

We bought this Ford after being diehard Chevy people. We really like the interior design and spaciousness. It's got plenty of power to get to highway speeds quickly and to pass with no problems. It's an awesome truck!
