I have 120k miles on my 2013 Escape and have never had an issue. I am very hard on the car and it just keeps going. Very very good car!

2013 SEL 2.0 AWD Extremely good value

(2013 SEL AWD 2.0 not in drop down menu so reviewed as a Titanium) After my wife having a trouble free 2016 Escape S for nearly 5 years (NOW 6.5 YEARS TROUBLE FREE) I decided to buy one for my grocery getter/airport family taxi vehicle. I found this 2013 1 owner SEL loaded for $4k under KBB value. A 10 minute test drive sold me. The suv is loaded with features including ALL WHEEL DRIVE, turbo 2.0, leather, pano roof, premium chrome wheels, auto dual climate control, SONY premium sound, auto tailgate lift, remote start and this one even has a factory tow package. As this is my part time vehicle, since I have a pickup truck, I alternate vehicles every week. I have made numerous 100 mile trips and am amazed at the handling, features, power and 25+ mpg highway on this. Now that gas prices have surpassed $4 a gallon in VA I will be driving this much more. It had a clean carfax when I bought it with 60k miles and now, with over 67k miles, it continues to impress me. I am fully aware of bad reviews on the turbo but that has not been an issue on mine. I will probably keep this until 80k or 90k miles and sell it before any turbo stuff arises. I am retired and I love this suv. It is black on black and looks very sporty compared to the bland 2016 S that my wife drives. I may just be lucky but I have zero complaints with my 2013 Escape SEL AWD. So far I only needed to replace one rear wheel speed sensor for around $25.

Steering Rack and Pinions went out at $36k

2013 Ford Escape SE 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

I bought this car from Ford with one year left on the warranty that expired at either 3 years or 36k miles. (I believe it had around 26k when I bought it) I had just over 36k miles and 3 years when my power steering completely gave out. I took it in to be looked at and it was determined that the entire steering rack and pinions needed to be replaced and it was going to cost around $2,000 to fix! Only Ford can fix this issue as it is electric and needs to be programmed by Ford. I talked to my dealership and they did offer to help me since i was just outside of my warranty by giving me 50% off (but I have to wait 2 months for the discount). Prior to this, I had an issue with the fuel sensor that was $450 to fix. I have had this car for less than 2 years and am already seeing that it is a complete money pit. I would not recommend buying this vehicle.

Bought my car new and have owned it 3 years. I do all the normal maintenance as you are supposed to. I have had 5 recalls, had to get a new 02 sensor, new starter, new electrical system (after the Warrenty expired), and now a new ignition switch because it wont start. The Bluetooth randomly doesn't work, and i've taken it back to the dealership who basically dont do squat. Cant sell it cause i haven't owned it long enough to pay off the loan. WORST CAR EVER!!!!!!
