Used 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Consumer Reviews
love my new dodge
leased a new gmc 4x4 truck every 2 years since 1998 all loaded with every option, panicked when gas prices went up and got a g-6 (junk). gm would not help me out of a bad deal so took the loss and purchased 2005 dodge Laramie 4x4 4 door loaded to the max moonroof the works, black cherry 20 " wheels you name it. hemi all the toys. i will no longer go to a gm truck this thing rocks
Noisy ride.
I've noticed that on a windy day you must turn up the radio to block out the outside noise. I'm always checking the doors to see if they are closed tight. It seems like the manufacturer forgot to complete the rubber seal on the doors, although the seals all seem to be attached. I've noticed when the cruise control is on the speed fluxuates sometimes ten to twenty miles an hour on uneven roadways. I've also noticed a slipping or some unexplained shift problem between second and third gear while the transmission upshifts during acceleration.

Love my RAM Quad
Very nice truck, this is the second Dodge truck that I have purchased new and I doubt that it will be the last. We love the Atlantic pearl blue color and the body styling. The standard V8 has plenty of power and don't seem to be too bad on gas.
The Big Dog
An absolute pleasure to own. The fuel economy is about the only negative to this truck, and for the power that engine packs, it's well worth it. Plenty of power, plenty of space, and the instrument cluster is the cleanest looking of any vehicle I have ever had. Switching to 4WD is a snap. The towing capacity is more than adequate, and the ride is firm, but comfortable. I have never regretted buying this truck, it is a fantastic buy.
Hemi, Hemi, Hemi
The 5.7 Hemi is the best thing that ever happened to a pickup. It gives a real boost when you are wanting to get from here to there right now. 4door quadcad, although not quite as spacious as the Ford F150 crew cab, is still plenty roomy for most folks, and the optional flat floor provision makes secure dry storage (for groceries and such) very handy. A recent road trip delivered outstanding mileage, with the trip computer recording 21mpg(!) at one point across Kansas. My truck is a 2005 Ram 1500 SLT quadcab with 2wd and towing package. I like this truck.
