Used 2005 Dodge Neon Consumer Reviews
Gas mileage?
I bought this car used. It was in Hawaii as a rental. This has been yet another great Dodge product! The only thing I don't get is that it gets better gas mileage at 75-80 MPH then at 65-70. I know another guy that had an older Neon and he said it didn't start running good until you got it up to at least 60 MPH+.
Neon SXT
Its a great car for commuting. Comfortable with the pep that you need. I would definitely recomend this for a first car or for someone that drives a good distance for work. I like the 6 disk changer in the dash and the sound system, even though it could go a little louder.
Great Performance
I am very happy with this vehicle so far. The performance is great and it's a blast to drive. It should also include the stage one kit for 240 horsepower and WOT boost hold standard. I think a variable intake/exhaust timing and lift would help a lot. The worst feature is horrid fuel economy. I have averaged as bad as 20 mpg on pure highway driving and it has a rating of 30 mpg highway. My Sentra Spec V had a 28 mpg rating and I was getting 35mpg. Very disappointing
Fun , Fun, Fun!
I got mine brand spanking new, I can tell you other than a couple of warranty fixes early on it has been very reliable. This car is load of fun, when that turbo kicks in you better hold on tight to the steering wheel.
Neons rock!
I'm one of those who must own a car every three years. All but one have been Neons, and the latest is definitely the best. Noise level is drastically reduced. Gas mileage is excellent. Its wide wheel base hugs curves beautifully. Its pep makes it so much fun to drive! You think its small engine can't do much, but hit the interstate and take it to 70mph, and you'll see it really get up and go. There's still some road noise, but the awesome stereo takes care of that. The recent exterior redesign makes it look sharper than ever, and I love my car's electric blue color. It's a great car for a low price!
