Used 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Consumer Reviews
I will never buy another Dodge again
My 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan has too many problems to list in this review, due to character limitations of this page. I an summarize the braking system is one of the worst in vehicles I have ever had. It is mechanically undependable, and has had excessive maintenance issues since 20K miles. I would never recommend this vehicle due to these, as well several other issues. Think of purchasing a more safe and more dependable vehicle. Nick Tetti, Highlands Ranch CO.

I want to like it, but...
I love the concept of this vehicle, with stow n go and dvd player, etc. But unfortunately I have had many serious problems with this car failing on me. Repeated jump starts, etc. Not to mention the car turning off while driving - and in serious situations like expressway driving. Maybe this one is a dud, but I would be happy to leave a better rating once I have a more reliable car and a safe one for myself and two toddlers.

Got lucky I guess - so far
Bought this one new after owning an '01 Honda Odyssey that demolished 3 transmissions in 2 years. It is every bit as quick as the Honda was, gets decent mileage, hasn't broken down ever, the seats are more comfortable, and the stow and go is a marvel. We're pushing about 16000 miles on it now and if it's like the rest of the complaints out there - then we'll see - but it does have a 7/70 warranty and Honda is certainly no better. Honda power doors would not open quick if power doors not functioning - or ever. Dodge completely worked around this issue.
piece of junk!!!
not worth it. definitely not good in the winter. nope.

Bought my SXT used, but only 1 owner. Liked it at first as cars didn't provide enough room for kids. Then everything went bad: motors on auto sliding side doors broke, not under warranty, dealers want $1000 or more to fix. They're still broken. Power locks didn't work right, motor defects, etc. and it had clean carfax. Always owned Honda/Toyota. Now I know why. Save your $ for something with a much better resale value. It's worth less that what I owe so I can't even sell it.
