If you looking for a truck that pulls, tows,or just hauling the family this truck is it.My diesel 4x4 extended cab is sweet pulls anything I have asked of it.Tows like there is nothing behind it. The purr of the diesel lets me know I am sitting on nothing but power. This is my 2nd 1 ton chevy won't buy any thing else but.

This 8.1 liter gas engine is a work horse when coupled with the Allison automatic. Gas mileage is, of course, not good. I average about 8-9 mpg loaded or empty.

It's the most comfortable car to drive in a TRUCK body. Rides like a dream. I bought it with 107k a d it now is just broke in at 135k. I change the oil and tranny fluid at 4k. I did replace the plugs and wires at 112k and I should not have.!! Owell. It's the best car I have ever owned but the fuel mileage let's me know that maybe I should've driven th old Buick. I love my truck and both my boys (55 and 52 yrs old want it when I die. That and my cvo dresser.. Most folks that ride in my dually compliment on the comfort leather seats and they all are blown away by the ride.im 73 and since I was 18 I've had atleast I truck and they all drove and rode like a truck be my dually out rides my old Buick 225 Electra . I drove this truck about a mile when I told the seller I'd pay him his price in cash on the spot. The stereo had been given a young man treatment and it sounds GOOD. I run all my trucks with full dual exhaust and no mufflers. That 8.1 says we're coming and that now we're leaving. I don't think there is a nice truck by Ford or Ram to be what that 2001 Chevy. 3500 HD made..!! Remember I said an 8.1 engine and its not listed below as theyall say 6.ol and yes I can pay for gas and a good steak. And they both Cost.!!
