Awesome Impala LS
I bought my Impala used with 35k. It's been awesome since I owned it, no problems whatsoever. It currently has 51k and feels brand new. Great power, handling, comfort. Much higher quality and comfort than previous foreign vehicles. I can't recommend this vehicle enough!
Problems with knocking when turning left
I too have had the knocking sound/feel when turning left. This was at about 35000 miles. I believe the wording of the problem involved the intermediate steering shaft?? Also before that I had problems with the turn signals not working all the time. It took two trips to the dealer to fix that. If it were not for the mechanical problems, I would keep this car forever. I love the overall car. The ride and the handling is great. I am getting 27 mpg which is outstanding for the size of the engine.
lots of problems
My 2000 Chevy Impala LS has had nothing but problems . Engine cradle , stearing shaft bearing, brake rotors, side impact airbag. It all started at around 25000 miles. I have taken this car back to the dealer 9 times and it is still not performing the way it should. When riding on a road that is not quite perfect the front end feels loose and makes a slight popping noise. I thank myself for not buying this car because at the end of this lease I can walk away from a car that otherwise I would be stuck in. I don't have anything good to say about this car....
