Used 2006 Chevrolet HHR Consumer Reviews
My little avalanche
I love my Avalanche, but gas prices made me turn to the HHR. I love the style and simple features, no XM radio or OnStar needed. I love it without $500 opional running boards. Drives like a dream and the sport suspension just screams to run the windy roads. Reminds me of an Escort GT I owned. Wanted the orange, but could not find one so went with a black just off the truck. Will be taking it on three 2000 mile round trips to FL this year and can not wait to get on the highway. So far it runs like a dream. Put flames on it first day and people always stop to look at it. Get out of the way PT
It's the greatest!
My first Chevy in 12 years and the moment I saw it on the road, I fell in love. Had 1994 Chevrolet SS and it beats that one. It is a head turner and I believe the PT Cruiser is a vehicle of the past, compared to the HHR. The ride, the look, the color (black) with the running boards, sunroof and soon to add fog lamps and roof rack will really set it off. Nice going to the people at GM.
Chevy got it right!
I have had at least a hundred people comment on seeing my car. Wow! We love how it looks! What is it! It's the best car I've ever had! I'm 80 years young and I've had a lot of cars! My wife has a bad back and we were looking for great seating. Well we found it! Just open the door turn around and place your posterior in the seat! All you seniors listen this is a great car! Many amenities. Someone at Chevy finally got it right!
Wow, Neat Car
Bought this car July 4th 2006. Bought the LT Summit White(wow it really is BRIGHT)pretty much loaded out. The OnStar is a big deal for the wife and kids and the XM is awesome. The steering is unbelievable, you can almost turn circle in a normal 2 lane road with no problem. Only bad thing is I don't get to drive it, the wife has taken over.
Came back home
I have gotten nothing but compliments about my HHR. Being a 'Car Guy', I had been looking for an old car to restore. Didn't have to. I found the old style I was looking for in a brand new (had to be black) HHR. Once I test drove it, knew that I had to have one. Was disappointed when the one I was originally looking at got sold from under me. Got the next one off the truck (literally). I heard at the dealership that a lot of PT Cruiser owners were trading in their cars for new HHR's. I don't blame them. Thank you Chevrolet for thinking a little out of the box.
