I've had the vehicle four years now. I declined to return it after the four year Smart Buy. I'll own it in three more years. 50,000 miles on it. No problems whatsoever except for the radio, which I had to replace at about 40,000 miles. It's been very reliable. I took a leap of faith by keeping it. I hope not to encounter any major problems before it hits 100,000 so I'm gonna continue keeping it serviced regularly and take it easy out there.

I purchased this car because I needed a 3rd vehicle which I could "run the wheels off of". I had rented automatic versions while on business trips and found the vehicle to be quite acceptable. I immediately drove the car to Florida (approx 1,000 miles) straight thru and felt no discomfort at all. The car is well "laid out" and its performance (2.2 liter with manual 5 speed) is quite acceptable. My other vehicles are a 2004 Mach I mustang and a 2004 Expedition, so I really appreciated the 32+ MPG that I have been getting in this vehicle.

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged 2dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl S/C 5M)

I've had my Cobalt for almost a year now and I still love it everytime I get in the car. The leather seats are comfy, the interior is stylish, and with a push of the accelerator a big smile comes to my face as the supercharger begins to whine. The car has handles great and is perfect for a fun run through some twisties and surprisingly the ride isn't too bad. I've been on a few longer trips with the car and it was pretty comfortable. The Stock sound system sounds very good and the MP3 player reduces the need for changing cds. All of the controls are easy to reach and all displays are easy to read. All told this is a great car for those of you who want good fuel economy and fun.

I picked up a supercharged Cobalt for a daily driver and will say i was more impressed after I bought it than I was before. The mileage is better than they rate. I can get 31.5mpg if I drive it normal / mostly freeway miles. Plenty of power for a 2.0L engine and it'll get even better when Eaton comes out with the TVS supercharger upgrade. I have a 2000 camaro SS that has more power, but I enjoy driving the Cobalt equally if not more! When you take care of the understeer, the car is amazingly agile.

Loved the car for a month or so, but now

I have owned my Cobalt for about 3 months and my initial impression has been very good. Very little rattles, good mileage, and the 4-cylinder engine has more power than I expected. But the car has been to the dealer twice now for an oil leak from the manual transmission, first at 800 miles and now at 1300 miles. It is in the shop right now and the dealer is replacing the transmission. Safe to say I am not happy. A three-month-old car with 1300 miles and the transmission needs replaced. Hopefully the new replacement will be fine. I am keeping my fingers crossed. But at this low of mileage I think the whole car should be replaced.
