Don’t buy a Chevy Truck with the 5.3 v8
Dealer had to replace the engine at 50,000 miles, and replace the electronics in the dash at 30,000 miles. After those problems were fixed,my truck has been great! Now at 125,000 miles with all required maintenance done on time,I’m told that this 2nd engine might have to be replaced,at my expense! I purchased this truck brand new in May,2011. This is the 3rd consecutive GM truck that failed! Toyota here I come!

Repowered
This is my 2nd one and I love it. I live in the Northeast and do about 35-40k a year majority of it is highway Had to replace the engine and tranny at 218K and won’t give it up. First trucks engine went at 285k. Body is in great shape so it was worth it. Can’t touch a new truck for the new drive train cost.

Blows Ridgeline Away
WOW Love my Avalanche. Use it to drive clients around as well as hauling things around and you could not find a more versatile truck. Every time a client gets into the Avy they comment on the interior quality and are always impressed. We had 2 Suburbans prior to the Avalanche and loved them as well but the Avy is more functional w/the midgate especially since we no longer need the 8 seats
