Very happy with our 2024 Encore GX Cute Ute !!
My wife and I are very pleased with our 2024 Encore GX purchased used w/ only 2500 mi on the clock. The Encore GX is one of the current Buick lineup of 3 small SUVs for about $25k; I suspect these hidden gems are unknown to many Americans. Unfortunately Buick's focus on China has resulted in the Buick brand being all but forgotten in the US. The NHTSA has given a ***** Overall Safety Rating to the 2024 GX. I have one negative with the Encore -- I'm 6'-1" and the Encore is small for me. Some call the cabin "surprisingly roomy" for a sub-compact suv. Truth be said IT'S JUST SMALL. Likes * 1.2L Turbo engine surprisingly strong in city driving * Entry-level luxury at a moderate price * Fun to drive (some call it boring) * Lots and lots and ... of safety features * Excellent mileage (30+ mpg) for an ICE SUV * Sits up high (as a SUV should!) due to 18" wheels * Quiet cabin due to Buick's QuietTuning technology * Heated seats, steering wheel, outside mirrors * Physical buttons/knobs for radio, climate controls -great * Power hatch/liftgate w/ kick plate - very handy * Traction & Stability control Dislikes * 1.2L Turbo engine is somewhat challenged on the highway * Design same-same as every other small SUV on the road * Seats are narrow, hard and uncomfortable * Road noise is worse than expected for a Buick * Small cargo area w/o rear seat backs down * Insufficient legroom in back seats * Insufficient rear headroom for tall persons * AM/FM/Satellite radio difficult to program * VERY sensitive brakes and accelerator

Different Ride
Did not have power lift gate or closing, no cargo cover. The rest is what I wanted.
Blue Buick
No problems yet.
2024 Buick Encore GX Avenir
For the price - what's missing - let the list begin: * why can't the car remain running when parked for long periods of time? The feature was available on previous year models - why not this year? If I had known it would have definitely influenced my decision to buy * why no day time running lights? * why no auto-fold outside mirrors? * why can't GMC include dash camera options as OEM, or at least power port in the headliner area to eliminate dangling power cords of aftermarket dash cameras; and why can't they be easily have 24/7 recording capability? I hate being forced to engage in the climate cult - whynnotnhave drivers to push a button to opt into engine auto shut down at red lights; or auto-engine shut offs when parked. On the plus: for the price and technology it is a nice car but I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED IT GIVEN THE INABILITU TO DISABLE THE AUTOMATIC ENGINE DOWN DOWN FEATURE WHEN PARKED !
