Looked, but not ready to buy...
Discovered the Encore GX while killing some time at the dealership to take my daughter's 2018 GMC Terrain in for an oil change. Loved the exterior/interior looks of the car, even though I am not a Buick person by any far stretch of the imagination. Seemed roomy without being oversized. Would have possibly been a future buyer...until I realized it had a 3-cylinder engine AND is a first year car. Buick needs to get the "bugs" out of it first before I'd could be considered a serious buyer. One more cylinder wouldn't hurt, either. Let's have a reality moment here: one's buying Buicks for gas mileage!! Leave the three cylinder manufacturing for the Mitsubishi Mirage, and the Chevy Trailblazer. (I think someone must have been on some serious drugs when that decision was made. The Trailblazer was known for being a BIG SUV!!)

Squeaky Brake
Our 2020 Encore brakes squeak badly after the car has been idle for a long time. The dealer replaced the brake pads, but the squeal came back. Now GM is saying there is no repair, and we have to live with it. I don't find this acceptable today. We are done with GM, and I don't recommend this car.

Meh...
This vehicle is better than the Encore, for sure. But I took the test drive and I wasn’t impressed. It was ok. The engine was buzzy. I couldn’t find a comfortable seat position. The ride was smooth over bumps, though. While I liked the way it looked overall, it not for me. My mom would love this crossover but I just can’t see myself spending nearly $30k for an average CUV.

Wind Noise
When I test drove my 2020 Encore GX is was air tight, no noises. After the first time I rolled the windows down you can hear wind noise like your window isn’t rolled all the way up. Dealership claims they can’t hear anything but I do every time I drive it! Test your windows on roads and highway before purchase. I have had other ppl in my car and could also hear it. (2)Also look under drivers side floor. There is nothing protecting you from the mechanics of the car. (3) the head rests on back seats are in blind view, so be careful, no Sirius XM, no GPS 😞 Other than that I love my new car.
