Used 1993 Buick Century Consumer Reviews
This car has been good to me.
I bought this car used in 2003 for about 2200. I had to do a few repairs at first but after that this car has been very reliable. It does what it is supposed to do, get you to your destination. My only beef which might just be this car is that the heat isn't good when its cold, the air is great when warm.
Overdrive and Cup Holders
I really like the car in general. Most everything works and feels right. My only knock against them(or at least the one I have) is the fact that there is absolutely no engine braking whatesoever, and if I drive it on Drive instead of Overdrive, it give a jerking motion everytime I give it gas or release the gas pedal. Overdrive really bad on winter roads And the fact that it does not come with cup holders or any options as to where one could be installed. May sound petty but is very much a nescessity Gas mileage is great, comfort is great, controls are great, mechanicly great.
She deserves a good review!
I love this car! I bought it 8 years ago with 95K on it. Now it has about 145K. I hated the faux wood paneling from the get-go but how can you not love these cars. They are so reliable and costs so little to maintain. Other than the usual brakes and exhaust work that is always needed, this car has asked for nothing and has always been there for me. She has always been a 2nd car, but when I bought the 1995 Mercury Sable because it looked nicer (moon roof and all)it was "Woody" who came to my rescue when the Sable was continually in the shop. (That was a total piece of junk!) I would keep the Buick till she dies if it were not for the electric windows finally stopping.
1992 Buick Century Wagon
Best Automobile I have ever owned! And I have newer ones. 12 years and 51,000 miles later, it looks like new inside and out. Only had to replace an alternator, A/C and brakes. Everything else is original condition (tires excepted).
i got it from my mom!
When my mom passed away in 2000, i got her 92' Buick Century, one of the few sold in Europe in the 1990s'. It was great, very reliable and smooth. Far away in shape and size from the european "sports" car with no flavor at all. This was a american icon, specially in Europe where Buicks were very few. We had Chevrolets and Cadillacs but no Buicks. I'm sad that today there are no more american cars sold in Europe, i have wonderful memories with that Buick, it was dark blue with whitewall tires! Simply amazing.
