This car exudes solid build quality, and I have confidence in the engine reliability. I can tell when a car is going to last a while... and this one gives me the same confidence our long-llived CX-5 does. The X1 is fast when you want it to be. And, economical when your foot isn’t into the throttle. Handling is excellent, and I want my wife to take it to the track (it’s her car). Snow is no problem- we put Blizzaks on it and nothing stops it (except for snow depth maybe. Storage is at a premium, but I like smaller cars. We have a rooftop box which really helps for trips. I think the back seat is roomy, not sure why they said it in the review.

I bought a 2015 BMW X1 XDrive28i last year and I liked it so much I bought another one. GREAT Car! Super FUN to drive. 240 hp, dual turbo, 240 hp, 8 speed transmission. It will get up and GO!. For the money, I don't think you can beat it!

x1 x35i satisfaction

Turbo six is super quick, handles at at least 90% of the capabilities of 235Xi coupe, which is saying alot. Have a 2006 X3 based of the E90 3 series frame, and love the handling of the vehicle, at 150,000 miles needed to start looking for an eventual replacment. Found the X1 is on the same frame, and roughly the same size on the inside and outas the orginal model X3, so that was the answer. Found low milage X1s with the turbo six sells at around 22,000. Test drove one, sold the coupe and bought the X1, traded in a few percentage points of handling for alot more utility. I live on top of a mountain with a long super twisty road, but only those good drivers with known high performance rides, can keep up with that X1 maybe. I do my own mechanic work on the BMWs, Over the years have rebuilt some stuff on that 12 year old X3: wheel bearings, front suspension, coil spring/shocks, rear brakes, AC compressor, drive shaft center bearing, two drive axles, front drive shaft. But that old X3 is tight as new. Expect the same from the X1 over time.

Sun Roof

I bought this car last year and don't use the sun roof that often but last week I started using it a couple times and all off a sudden the fabric peeled off! I'm very surprised that it came off so easily. This is going to be an expensive fix which should have never happened in the first place. I love my car but, this was very disheartening. If it wasn't for that I'd give it a 4/ 5 if it had a back up camera and bluetooth or a better wat to listen to music on my phone.

The vehicle gets incredible gas mileage. I met a guy that said he was getting 37 on the open road. I regularly get 34mpg which is fantastic. Moved to SoCal and gas mileage around town is about 28, 29, still good not like the open road, lots of stop/start. Still second best vehicle I've ever owned.
