I bought a 2005 A6 in 2007, had it 2.5 years, then was rear-ended on a stopped off-ramp by another driver who was going over 60 miles per hour. A 4000 lb car was spun 180 degrees, slid across 2 lanes, down a hill, and over a concrete drain. The car was totaled but I walked away. All 4 doors on the car still worked although the rears were no longer aligned. The car only had minor problems up until it was killed. One LED that went out intermittently. Service, brakes, tires, were about as usual on a euro sedan. Definitely a high speed cruiser but can handle turns very well. Interior quality so much better than BMW. It's a great car. I'm buying another, probably an 07 or 08.

My father and I went a purchases this car at an auction. The car has been very great to me, we bought it in August 2014 with 130k miles. I've been in a car accident with it in which I rearended a much larger vehicle at 45 MPH. Luckily I was super safe and I just had to replace the front bumper. The car has about 145k miles on it currently and it just seems to be falling apart. Plastic pieces in the exterior, the window regulator not working correctly and some oil leaking. It has been a very nice car and I am looking for a newer mode with less miles because I feel so safe in it. Also last note the quattro all wheel drive is amazing, you never feel like you don't have traction

I bought my A6 with 23000 miles in Nov. 08. Have never regretted it. Previously owned a 1998 A6. Wow, what a difference in performance and ride. The MMI system took some getting used to but is no problem once you figure out the logic behind it. I have had only one problem so far -- the memory for the seat and mirror settings was not working. It was a software problem that was fixed by the dealer under warranty. The handling of the vehicle is superb. Acceleration is smooth and very responsive. Surprisingly, the fuel economy on the highway is also very good for vehicle this size. In my trip to work (21 miles with 90% highway and 10% local), I typically get between 27 and 28 mpg. Local is 19.

I may be bias because i bought this car used with 115,000 on it from some young kid on facebook it couldve been taken care of improper in the time that the kid owned the car. ive driven this car only 680 miles since i bought this car first issue the peice that makes the ebrake button work snapped the day i bought the car leaving the car stuck on the ebrake so my car would only move 2 miles an hour if that. Leaving my car to sit until i could find a mechanic willing to even touch an audi that isn’t going to charge you 140 an hour most mechanics will not ive been denied by several. After i paid 400 to fix that issue i was so excited to drive my car. Within 15 minutes of driving my car the excitement turned into tears my car starts to smoke. i later took it to a mechanic was told that my car had major electrical issues and my engine valves were leaking onto my alternator my check engine light wasnt on at all even though my engine was leaking terrible. I had no clue my car was leaking because the weather proof plastic underneath the car collects all the oil that should be dripping on the floor you will not know your car is leaking unless u remove that plastic and drive around without that plastic on. I spent 1300 dollars to have the valves resealed and the alternator replaced after i got that fixed i still smelt slight burning a week later this is a very good mechanic that i trust. the burning smell wasnt serious so i didn’t worry because it was very slight. 2 weeks later that protective plastic breaks and i now discover my car is leaking oil once again if my plastic didnt break i wouldve had no idea and wouldve continued driving my car. This car is headache after headache. If you want to go without ur car for a week every single month then continue purchasing an audi but if you would like a car that rarely has problems i would stray away from a used 2005 audi a6 3.2 quattro or an audi in general i hate this car and i have no choice yet to continue driving it because the repair costs are too high for me to even save up for a new car please listen to my review when i say stay away from this car i read these reviews and 80 percent of them are positive so i had high hopes for this car i was very wrong.
