Fun car to crank miles on...
I love my dolphin grey A4. I work for succesful software company and deal with stock millionaires and their BMWs. My Audi turns lots of heads in the parking lot...and when I drive it. Car could use some more horsepower, better gas mileage, but I dont want to lose any of the craftsmanship of the interior. The tiptronic is a blast. I rgularly throw my quattro into left, right hand turns at high speeds and it glides on rails. This car drives great in the rain...snow...sun. So far the dealership has treated me like a king and has done all the maintenance without a hitch. Bring it in, pick it up...pay $ZERO.
Audi Quattro 1.8
I purchased my Audi brand new and had to replace the fuel pump twice. Once at 28,000 miles (under warranty) and just recently at 57,000 miles (out of warranty, a $500 repair). Other than that the car has been very reliable and fun to drive. With the Quattro all wheel drive it is very easy to get around in the snow.

An excellent car, with some drawbacks
Audi has crafted a truly fine automobile here. The interior is better executed than almost ANY other, regardless of price, anf the understated elegance of the exterior is sure to look good for many years to come. With 13K miles so far, and driving in all conditions, I'd say this car is a 9.5 out of 10. The quattro and ESP together make it unflappable in inclement weather.
I came back
My second A4, big improvements over 2000 model. Only wish that I opted for the sport package again, not nearly as good handling, even with the 17" 235/45 tires. Milage is good, 22-27 mixed, winter/summer, 30+ on hwy. Cup holders stinks, still. Miss the auto dimming mirror, too.
Disappointing Audi
My 03 A4 1.8T Quattro (53K miles) is constantly in the shop. The dealership once forgot to change the oil during scheduled maintenance, forcing a breakdown on 95. Another time, the oil pump failed, again forcing a breakdown on 95. Further, separate fuel coils have failed, forcing two additional breakdowns on the highway. Aside from reliability, the A4 1.8T Quattro is a sluggish car (although it handles nicely in bad weather). I previously owned an A4 and had similar issues. While this car looks good inside and out, its reliability is unsatisfactory, to put it mildly. I will never buy an Audi again, and I urge you to exercise caution before purchasing one.
