Used 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Consumer Reviews
Great performance sedan. But not perfect.
This is a sedan with great performance overall for the money. A driver's car. But the first model year 2017 had some reliability issues, presumably most have been resolved in the later years. The engine power delivery, automatic transmission and steering are especially fabulous in this car. The brakes take a bit getting used to. Handling is very good, but the stock tires are terrible, they lose grip easily and being run flats they ride poorly as well. There is no spare tire. The interior style looks good but has some cheap details and materials in places. Exterior is distinctive. MPG was great. Car is relatively roomy and comfortable.

Loved the car until I did not.
Great car until it got to 100,000 miles. It seemed everything wore and turbo related went wrong. Car say for 9 months waiting on a warranty part. No one wants to work on them. I have not driven mine since May of 2023. I paid lots of money for a car that I can not even drive because of warranty issues I am having with the dealership because the dealership is failing to honor the 4 year old warranty due to the cost of the actual repairs, so the dealership is omitting truth, are committing insurance fraud to offset the cost, and are attempting to extort me out of “non warranty” issues. Those issues are actually related to the warranty issues, but the dealership lacks the equipment to diagnose my car.

Stylish BUT TERRIBLE
I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again! Buy an AUDI, BMW or Mercedes instead.
