RDX - POS
Touch pad everything is nearly impossible to use. Owner's Manual is absolutely worthless, who wrote that pile of junk? $50K car comes with navigation but no nav. manual. I'll get mine in 3 to 5 weeks. Thanks Acura. The more I learn about it, the more I hate it, and I worked at AHM for 24 years. Should have bought Chevy. Update, seven weeks into it and still no Nav. owner's manual. I contacted Acura again to order the manual, I was told, in writing, that they are experiencing an unusually high amount of traffic and that I may be contacted soon, but to not contact them again because it will just make them more busy.

The Vehicle to Get
We have been driving Acura vehicles for 35 years. They never disappoint. We have gone 12 years with our previous Acuras without having to make a single repair. Despite that stellar record we still shopped around when the time to buy a small SUV because we were interested in buying a plug-in hybrid. After researching and test driving alternatives (Lexus NX and RX, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Genesis GV70 and others) we kept going back to the Acura RDX. At the end of a rather long decision-making process we settled on the 2025 RDX Advance and we love it. The ride, handling, comfortable seats, extensive driver/safety assist feature, roomy interior while still having a relatively small exterior footprint are perfect. And, I would be remiss if I did not mention how great having a vehicle with a heads-up display. One thing that made us hesitant about buying it was all of the criticism of the touch-pad interface. We found the criticism to be way overblown. It took only about a day to get fully proficient with it and we find it easy to use and less distracting than a touch screen. it would have been nice to buy a plug-in hybrid, however, the overall quality, bullet proof reliability of Acura, and overall value proposition brought us back to the RDX and we are very happy with our decision.

My second RDX
The RDX is an incredibly reliable car and it offers a really nice smooth drive and corners beautifully. However the downside for me is gas mileage. Because I really like this car so much I turn a blind eye to gas consumption , especially in the city . Also the A/C doesn’t get super cold for some reason . They need to fix that issue . Hop into a German car and the AC is like being in a freezer .
