somewhat overpriced
This is an improvement over the 2018 Acura RDX. However, the price point seems a bit high.

great vehicle, poor mpg
Good room and value, mpg should be better. Ride is on the firm side in comfort mode. Missing folding mirrors, wireless phone charging. Infotainment system was buggy at first but updates seem to have addressed the issues.

Fun to drive and no issues after 1 year
I’ve had the car a little over a year. Zero repairs. Only 14,000 miles. Car is peppy with good acceleration. I like the smaller-athletic fee of the SUV. We have a large SUV and this is so much funner to drive. I generally drive around town and average between 24.5 and 25 mpg on regular gas (no knocking). SUV is a either on the large end of the compact or small end of the mid sized category. There is plenty of room up front and people in the back are not tight. Rear storage is good. A few nice items; the car has a feature called brake hold (you push a button to activate, unfortunately you have to push it each time you start the car), and when you stop at a light or stop sign, the car stays stopped, push the accelerator and the brake hold is disengaged; I like the blind spot sensors that alert you if a car is in the lane when you change land (with turn signal on); the back up sensor does the same thing; automatic lane holding works fine and the wheel vibrate if your hand is off wheel too long. Car stereo sounds great (I’m not an audiophile) and I generally use Pandora, SiriusXM or iPhone. Backup camera has great resolution and color. A really cool feature (one I didn’t know or understand when I first got the vehicle) is the gas tank door locks closed when the car is locked. There is no need to push a button (usually searching every time for that button) to open the tank. You just push in on the gas tank door and it opens. I found this out when the car was locked and I couldn’t open the gas tank door (and was very mad!). Once I figured all I had to do was unlock the car and the door would open, it’s one of my favorite features. FYI, the vehicle has the gas cap built into the door. Seats are firm, supportive, and comfortable-great for a long ride. My back bothers me on seats that are not. The cockpit is well laid out. Air conditioning system is fine (I live in Florida and can’t comment on the heater!). There is a storage compartment in the floor of the trunk that works great. There are 2 compartments and I keep jumper cables in the one next to the back seat and golf shoes, shirt/shorts/pants in the compartment next to the rear gate. This is a great feature. Everyone mentions the Info system. I find it fairly easy to use. There is screen at eye level and a touch pad. The touch pad isn’t exactly identical to one on a pc, it mimics the screen you are looking at and you push down to select. The screen is located high (just below the wind shield). I really like this as your eyes are closer to the road. The screen shows 2 items (the right image is much smaller) and let’s you toggle between the two. I generally have the NAV on the main/big screen and radio on the other. You can toggle between the two on a button next to the touch screen (the main screen is the active one and you need to toggle over to switch channels (which you can also do on the steering wheel)). If you can’t figure out how to get back, there is a home button that takes you back to the main screen. I like this as when you are in Apple CarPlay can be confusing. It only took me a day or so to get used to the system. I like the touchpad as my hand is in a good position and not reaching for a touch screen. Navigating through the screens is fairly easy and a huge update from Acura’s earlier system. As in all these systems, you’ll have to search a little on items you don’t use everyday like syncing a new phone, though it’s not too difficult. I have had an update to the system, probably to fix bugs and add features to Apple CarPlay. This was done via wireless internet at my home. I can’t comment on the Navigation system As I only use Waze or the Apple NAV. Pandora works fine on system as well. Overall, CarPlay integration is fine except for occasional hiccups. These don’t bother me Very much (not sure if it’s an Apple or Acura issue). Overall, the Info System is fine. My previous 2 cars were Chrysler 300C’s, whose system was fantastic. This system is not far behind it. Oddly enough, my sister purchased the same vehicle (she wanted a smaller SUV that fits in the garage-better and is fun to drive) as well. She looked at many of the other vehicles and independent of me this was her choice. Before the purchase, she asked my opinion and I gave her a very positive review. She loves the car as well.
